Is it a poetic end to Jagpat? Yes, perhaps. But his death WILL impact Dutta significantly. The fact that this man died for him and Naku, to save them, to give him and Naku a chance. I would not be surprised if Jagpat says something to Dutta, his final words if you will, about trusting life and love, and how love always walked beside him (Dutta), he just never saw it.
Dutta will remember every word of Jagpat's as he works through his conflict.
