There is a way of discussing things. She saw Abhi comforting her sister. Why did she go away, close the door behind them ? Was she doing them a favor by standing guard so that no one sees. She should have stood there and talked to both of them. if she can not think by herself or felt pressurised to talk by her mother, she could have talked to both of them together. She should have told Mili that she had warned earlier and also told Abhi that both of you are alone upstairs, what if someone else had seen you like this instead of me. Both would have understood.
Abhi's way of touching on Mili's head each time proves the relationship of an older sibling that he finds himself as for Mili. Mili is going through a phase where she is just not ready for marriage and the journey with Vishal. She requested both Abhi and Simi to go along with her. With Simi he caressed her face and went. So he too knows the difference and his feelings to Mili and Simi are clearly different.
Abhi handing over money to Mili was because he knows Simi is not into this parlour and beauty and cosmetics and he also tells Mili to advise Simi not to get engrossed in household work all the time and to relax a little. I can see he cares for Simi.Mili agrees to Abhi's advise to give Vishal another chance. Just that the engagement came as a shocker to her and she needs time. Its not easy to forget her assault incident and the worries she has when she has to start a married life with Vishal.
Simi should have shared her insecurities with him. But there is a way of handling things. She should tell Abhi that she is not comfortable when he spends time with Mili the way he does. He would understand and lay her apprehensions aside which he has always done. Even when Anu was brought home by Anita, Simi was worried when Abhi hugged Anu and also took her to the room. That time too Mili came over, held Simi's hand and asked her not to worry. Abhi has been like this right from the start. He has been a comforting friend to all who needed help. Whatsoever it is he is a young 22 year old with his share of enthusiasm and zest for life. He has missed the dating period after his college because he chose to get married to a woman who carries or thinks she carries the burden of her entire useless house and siblings. Watch the scene at night. Abhi says he has been waiting for her for an hour and when he pulls her close and says I need to chat a lot with you, what does Simi do? She says she has work. each time she does not even give the quality time necessary for a husband, and he is also disappointed but quickly decides to give her a helping hand to sort things in the kitchen. All the time she snubs him emotionally and physically too and she expects and flares up and tomorrow we can see an outright accusation at Abhi.
Discussing the issue and concerns is different from open accusation after all that he has done. Does she not know that Abhi is not a flirt who would want to have fun with his wife and SIL at the same time. His actions before has proved that he is not one. He has never forced himself on her neither before nor even after marriage. Does not all those qualities matter in assessment of a person's morality.
A real shame on this woman. Shame on the writers who are giving this to us. The concept of the age difference dished out to us with wrong people/relations.
