It's still early to assume that viewers have warmed up to the new Anandi, Pratyusha Banerjee, but the hype created around her has certainly enabled 'Balika Vadhu' to regain the top spot.

In latest TAM rating week 30 (July 18–24), 'Balika Vadhu' has emerged as the top show with a peak TVR of 6.92 on Thursday, July 22. In this episode, 'Balika Vadhu' took a five-year leap and introduced the new Anandi, Pratyusha Banerjee. The following episode saw the show drop to 5.75. However, it increased by 22 per cent to clock an average weekly TVR of 5.4.

'Balika' is followed by last week leader 'Uttaran', which drew a peak TVR of 6.02. Zee TV's 'Pavitra Rishta' (5.76) is the other show that completes the top ten. 'Pratigya', rated no 12, is the top rated Star Plus show with a TVR of 4.94.

Doubling Colors' delight is the fact that it's cut heavily into Star Plus lead, and is now just 11 GRPs behind the leader. The channel was bolstered by the performance of 'Chak Dhoom Dhoom', whose grand finale drew a TVR of 4.03. Suprsingly, the weekend film Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani (2.15) fetched more TVR than the television premier of My Name is Khan (2.14), that aired on rival Star Plus. The latter was aired on Sunday.

Zee TV (227) lost 25 GRPs to remain at number three. Sony TV clocked 162 GRPs, a good 27 GRPs more than last week. SAB's lead over Imagine TV was cut to 5 GRPs as the latter gained 6 GRPs to finish the week at 86 GRPs. Star One remained stable at 62.
