The actress was shooting for Zee€™s Sarrkkar on Tuesday afternoon, when she slipped from the stairs and hurt her right ankle. €œI was walking down the stairs, and suddenly, I slipped. I was taken to a doctor and my leg is in a cast,€ said De.
Mihir€™s with her
Maninee€™s husband Mihir Misra has been with her since the injury happened.
€œIt happened during the lunch break. She was supposed to climb down the stairs, and accidentally missed two and slipped. However, the injury got worse because she turned 360 degrees and came sliding down. In the process she tore the ligaments of her right ankle and has been advised 15 days of bed rest.€
When asked how she was doing, he said, €œShe€™s sleeping now and resting. Hopefully, the doctors can have another look at her ankle in a couple of days.€ De was recently in the news for being back in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. €œI don€™t think she should join work without a complete recovery. She has been advised not to put any strain on her leg,€ said her concerned husband.
Coinciding leave
Mihir added that it was a crazy coincidence that he recently got four days of leave. €œFortunately, I can be with her, as I am not shooting. It looks like my holiday had to somehow happen just during her accident. She€™s like a child when she€™s hurt, so I am going to make sure she feels at ease.€
