I was so curious to know the reason behind marriage, but I'M SO DISSAPPOINTED with this lame reason. Just because Bimal is dying, is it fair to get his 15 yr. old daughter? Anyways, hoping Anurang ending in Asylum track would be betta than this...

Honestly speaking nothing can justify child marriage.but since they have shown one ,I think this is a much better reason than the usual kundali nonsense.

i do not find this reason lame........
frankly according to hinduism...the biggest ritual thing that one can do in one's life is kanyadaan..which every father does during his daughter's marriage...scriptures say....it a big big thing...
bimalendu did the same.......
wats wrong if a normal human being thinks off doing all his duties during his life time.....i don't think its wrong....
plus he was wise enough to take this decision along with shekhar...relieving his wife(who would be a widow soon...with no handsome financial back ground...very less income).....off the responsibilty of their daughter's marriage...he knew shekhar would take good care of taani in his absence...
plus its not that he got her married off and she was packed off to her sauraal...nope...she still leads her normal life.....
it is justified by all means..i think so!

I can say the reason was typical but i don't think it is pathetic ... i would have preferred something more thoughtful on part of creatives but still the reason is justified enough from Bimal's POV

In the end scheme of things, just about any reason the creatives would have provided would have seemed pathetic. I think in comparison to some of the other nonsense we've seen, this was not bad. In fact, they made up for that with some pretty neat execution and a few really well-shot scenes! 👏

you are right. moreover bimalda can't depend on his rebellious son (taposh) to take care of his daughter. how can he trust him with her life. i think the marriage is perfectly justified.

well for me it was so typical because it was nothing that I already haven't seen or heard off on TV but surely not pathetic.

I do not think it is pathetic.
I think it is not great reson to get marry your kids at such young age. But I think in India people still believe in some old beliefs and they want to fulfil their duty as parents.
