That Mumbai loves its own is a known fact.

It was proved during the first season of Indian Idol, when the city promoted aamcha mulga Abhijeet Sawant, making voting difficult for Amit Sana from Bhilai, Chattisgarh.

Now, with the second season of the hugely popular reality show on, it's time for Mumbai to push Amey Date.

'Vote for Date' posters have been plastered across the city. This particular one was seen in Mahim, a Mumbai suburb.

The 26-year old, who will celebrate his birthday on March 31, is one of the finalists. Does he get your vote?

hope not! i just heard his sa re ga ma videos and something convinced me that technically he should not be the next abhijeet. from that point to this day he is struggling with the same problems of highpitch and breath control.
