I'm bengali so take it on that authority that if I saw her on the street I would think she was bengali. She could pass for a bengali. As for her acting, she has been great in what has been seen so far. the sadness, loss well-emoted in the few glimpses and promos. I understand many don't like her because Harshad and Aditi are not in this together. But I honestly think even if Anupriya wasn't given the role, Aditi wouldn't have gotten it. In fact Aditi herself said she was never approached to autdition and they ahd 3 or so other girls finalised.

I'm Bengali too and I think Anupriya is perfect to portray a bengali girl. and right now Aditi is not even interested in doing characters like this I read in an article here that her fav type of characters are vamps and she wants to do a vamp role. I LOVE Harshiti but Aditi just doesn't suit this character. It doesn't go with her. idk why.

I also am Bengali and agree with you here about the 'Typical Bengali' look. In a lot of Bengalis IMO the roundness and softness of facial features are common. I cannot say I would recognise AK to be Bengali(atleast not a typical one), due to her slightly angular face. But its not to say that all Bengalis have soft round features.

Infact in all regions you will find people whose features resemble that part of the region more(considered as the Typical look) and some who might not look the part so easily. I have also seen some Bengali women with angular, square, heart shaped face etc. So its possible...

And I think Anupriya has the girl next door kind of simple prettiness. As some members have said we havent seen much of Taani, so we cant judge her so quickly. We also cannot judge her acting nor her suitability with Harshad in a rush. So far what little I have seen of her, I have liked; her acting, aswell as her being paired with HC.😊
