Salman's Being Human Foundation called in specialist doctors from India. All the operations are funded by Sallu.

July 13, Vavuniya: The First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa recently visited the eye wards of Jaffna Teaching hospital and Vavuniya Hospital to inquire into the health of patients receiving treatment after cataract surgery conducted by Indian doctors under a special programme sponsored by Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Salman Khan Foundation of India has sponsored the services of Indian doctors to perform cataract surgeries for the needy Sri Lankan patients in the North.

Mrs. Rajapaksa donated lenses, eye drops and equipment to be used in cataract surgeries to the hospital during her visit.

First Lady is seen here observing Dr. Halij Laheji of India performing a surgery on a patient. Parliamentarian Dr. Mrs. Sudarshani Fernandopulle was also present.

Salman didn't go to the hospital , he was shooting most probably. So Asin went.

For me the best part abt this is that even after shelling out so much money Salman wasn't present at the hospital. I mean he could have used it as an opportunity for photo-op and gained publicity.
