Was it the right way?

Ok... So i can't believe what am gonna say, though i don't kinda like Ishaan after what he did to Mahi but my heart went for him at the end. I know Mahi is right not to marry him because she thinks she is not ready for it and by marrying him, its like ruinning both their life, BUT i don't think it was the right way, for Mahi to back out just the last time. She should have thought about all that when she was having double thought.
She back out at the point where they were about to get married which i think is not fair at all to Ishan and to the whole family as well. Mahi has been pressurized a lot in the past by her mother and because of her physical appeareance, my heart does go to her as well but the fact stays the same, she should not have back out the last time. She should have thought what Ishaan and her family would be feeling like, all those preparation, Ishaan already started to dream and all. She out of everyone should know what it is like when someone breaks your dreams.
She started having double thought way the beginning, she should have taken the decision by that time. If she was not sure, she could have ask for more time but not back out at the last minutes.
What am trying to say is she should not have gone through all that if she was not ready, she should have back out way before and not on the day of the wedding..
I do believe that you should follow your dreams but not at the point of breaking someone else dreams. In short Mahi should not have promised Ishaan if she was not ready. And certainly not back out the day of the marriage.. That was not the right way to do it.
Thats long.. Please share your thought.

n yer, she had a lot of time to think abt it. why did she realise it at the last moment and if she wasnt sure tht she wanted to marry isshaan, she cud hv called off the engagement so tht she cud hv more time....
she was so confused whether she luved ishaan or shiv, her heart was not stable lol.she dint noe hu she luved..i actually felt bad for ishaan.....

I do see where you are going and to some extent I agree with you that it was wrong on Mahi's part to shatter Ishaan's dreams...however I feel she herself was not what she wanted. Like she said, she thought she "needed" to get married and thus she named her "want" as love when it wasn't really true as we all know.

I feel that when she was having double thoughts, she felt that she was doubting if Ishaan would keep her happy and not break her heart again...and she wasn't doubting if she really wanted to get married. This realization struck her when she was going towards the stage (it didn't seem mandap to me), when she realized that she never really loved Ishaan...She was marrying him because she was being pressurized by her mother for which I think she did the right think...because she broke the marriage as soon as she realized what she wanted...because if they had being married then Ishaan's dreams would have been shattered more!

Talking from personal experience...when you try to think about something that is related to your heart...you will always get more confused and you really won't know what to do...and it is just this one moment when everything becomes clear...and it just happens...and then it is upto you to take the right decision or wrong one. I feel that she took the right decision because neither she nor Ishaan would have been happy if they had been married. I am not saying that it always happens, but in Mahi case I believe this is what happened.

When she was having double thoughts about getting married to Ishaan, I am sure that she thought what she wants to do...she even well saw a future with him and Shiv both...but that still didn't resolve her confusion...infact it just confused her more...she came close to the feeling that she isn't really quite happy...but then she hadn't eaten anything for past 3 days and that could be the reason for her unhappiness too because its Mahi! 😉

So I would say that she herself wasn't sure what she wanted and why she was doing what she was doing...she thought that marriage was "must" and it was needed which made her ignore the fact that it isn't something she "wants"... I don't know how clear I am...but yaa that is what I think!😳

PS: Oh I want to add this...when my friend told me how Mahi left Ishaan and ran from her marriage, I thought I would feel bad for Ishaan because although I am total Mahi-Shiv supporter, I thought Ishaan deserved a second chance for realizing his mistakes...afterall he is also a human...but seriously I really didn't feel any sympathy with him...I was jsut indifferent! Infact I was soo happy and cheering for Mahi that I forgot Ishaan...

It would have been better though if they had shown a final goodbye talk btwn Ishaan-Mahi...mature-ish talk by Ishaan...would have made me respect him but I guess not! 😛

No one should be left at the altar (so to speak). Mahi was a coward for not speaking up sooner! And btw the message she sent was that you shouldn't follow deadlines, etc, etc...but you should when you are overweight continue your love affair with food. Yes Yashraj this was the message to send to all overweight girls across the lands. If by some chance a handsome, rich and loving guy wants to marry you, break his heart at the last minute and run to food. How about if they had her just run off into the sunset proud that she is about to embark on a new phase of her life? How about she not wait until the last minute and break Ishan's heart and disappoint and humiliate her family? This show was so promising to me. I hope it never comes back on the air!!!!! And by the way, why not take a moment to think about how Mahi might have felt had Ishan did the same to her. Leaving like that was a selfish, unkind thing to do and her speech at the end was a waste of my time. If Ishan had left her, she would have been devastated and her self-esteem destroyed. I hated that ending, as you can see. I guess to answer your initial question, no it wasn't the right way.

I also thought that it wasn't right of Mahi to do this to Ishaan and her family on her wedding day. I know that she wasn't toally happy with this marriage beforehand. I think she could have just talked to Ishaan and her family before rather putting them on the spot at the moment.

@bold: I couldn't agree more....this show looked so promising to me when it first started....I used to like it the most out of all the YRF shows but it turned out to be such pathetically shoddy, lazy writing and lame character development....what a waste....it seemed like the entire season was just an exercise in seeing how much food Mahi can consume, how despo she can act by jumping any lallu who gives her an iota of bhaav and how there can be NIL character development....Bravo, YRF and the ppl behind MW👏😆
