| Akshay Kumar D-day: Women's Day does not mean anything to me. I think women should be loved and cherished everyday. They make this world a better place to live in. I think domestic violence and female infanticide should be curbed. My gift: The best gift that a man can give any woman is the wind beneath her wings. What women want: Women want simple things. They admire small, sweet gestures, and above all, respect.
Sohail Khan D-day: If it weren't for women, we wouldn't have been here, so it's important that we celebrate this day. My gift: We are planning a family outing, probably a lunch or dinner at some restaurant. What women want: Security, support and compassion.
Ajay Devgan D-day: I entirely believe in the concept of Women's Day. At least it reminds male chauvinists that they need to respect their female counterparts and cannot demean them in any situation. My gift: As far as gifts are concerned that's something personal, which I'm not going to share with you. What women want: Lots of love, care, trust, respect and independence. They have a mind of their own and shouldn't be taken for granted.
Dino Morea D-day: Every day should be Women's Day, because they deserve it. My gift: A gift could be anything from penning a few lines for her, to buying something she wants. What women want: To know that they are dearly loved.
Shreyas Talpade D-day: Women play an important role in our lives and everyday should be Women's Day. Both the women in my life, my mom and my wife, make me complete. My gift: That would have to be something they really want. As an ideal gift, I would send my mom on a world tour and buy a beautiful house for my wife. What women want: Empathy and someone who can lend a patient ear to them.
Madhavan D-day: It's a special day that has been set aside to celebrate womanhood. My gift: Earlier, birthdays were the only days that you had to worry about buying gifts for people. Today, you have so many days celebrating so many different things. I prefer to surprise people with gifts that would mean a lot to them, without looking for an occasion to do so. What women want: A day when you don't really require just one particular day to celebrate womanhood. Everyday ought to be special.
Rajpal Yadav D-day: It is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to wish every woman and hope that life treats her well during always. My gift: One can think of a number of gifts for one's wife, sister or daughter. But I cannot find anything that is precious enough to represent or repay what a mother has done for her children. All I can offer her is my heartfelt wishes and prayers. What women want: Only a woman has the ability to empathise with her family and loved ones. And the only thing they want in return is respect and lots of love. As told to Sandipan Dalal and Kavvya Christopher http://web.mid-day.com/hitlist/2006/march/132467.htm |
