Karan Johar hosted a special screening of his latest film directed by Punit Malhotra and starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. While Imran came with girlfriend Avantika, Sonam was in the company of dad Anil Kapoor. Karan had some fun ribbing Sonam, even as she walked in looking super in black. Sanjay Kapoor came with wife Maheep and the duo bonded with Sunny and Anu Dewan. Punit meanwhile chatted with uncle Manish Malhotra even as the likes of Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder and Neelam Kothari and Samir Soni entered the venue together. Even as Sulaiman Merchant and wife Reshma strode in, model Bruna Abdullah was seen socialising with colleague Sunny Sara. Karan's writer friend Mustaq Sheikh also made an appearance. Others spotted included Zarina Mehta and Ronnie Screwvala, Alvira Agnihotri, Aamir Ali and Salim Merchant.

TNN, Jul 2, 2010, 12.00am ISTKaran Johar brought mom Hiroo Johar along. Anil Kapoor, Sonam's papa was seen hurrying inside, anxious not to miss the beginning. Manish Malhotra and nephew Punit Malhotra were spotted having a word with each other before proceeding inside. Raveena Tandon and hubby Anil Thadani and Suleiman and Reshma Merchant were some of the couples who came to watch this love story. Others seen enjoying the show were Bruna Abdullah, Anu and Sunny Dewan, Aamir Ali, Nakul Mehta, Vishal Dadlani, Niharika Khan and Alvira Agnihotri.
NAME GAME: They might share their first names but Sameer Soni and Sammir Dattani were as different as chalk and cheese here. While Soni came out happily, and even posed with Neelam, Dattani on the other hand, was in a hurry and headed straight for his car.
HUM SAATH SAATH HAIN: Imran's love story is certainly going well, with fiance Avantika Malik by his side to support him all along.
ON THE OTHER HAND: TOI spotted Sonam and Punit coming down together after watching the screening, but as soon as they spotted the shutterbugs, Punit took a few steps ahead and walked in front. If there's nothing on between you two, then why the guilt we wonder!
