Will Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar reunite?

An eyewitness says, "After Salim and Javed split, their families also stayed away from each other but recently when Salman and Farhan were shooting at the same studio, Salman met Farhan and there was no discord between the two. They exchanged hearty conversations and spoke for about 15 minutes before heading to their individual shoots. This has led to widespread speculations that the two sons might be able to bring their father's together."

Though the exact reason for Salim-Javed's split remains a mystery, reports have been published gossiping that it might have something to do with both of them having a liking for actor Shabana Azmi.

Another industry heavyweight who was present when Salman and Farhan met adds, "No matter what the cause of their split was, it was 30 years ago. I'm sure both of them have moved on. It just requires someone to break the ice between them and Salman and Farhan, the two sons, could actually do it. What big news will it be for the industry to see Salim and Javed unite. Maybe they would write a script together. They were the best in their game when they split and it was bad for the industry."
