I think most of the Hindi soaps have crappy stories and thankfully, I have stayed detached enough to watch some other shows sporadically. For whatever reason, CB is the only show I got addicted to. I loved their story line after last June/July ... and really fell in love with the characters of both Rads and Dev. I very stupidly think of them as family. The same has not happened in my case with any other show (I am sure it is the other way round with some others)

I also liked the characterization of the male lead on CB (though there have been instances in the past when they could have shown him differently) Since the ONS track I have not liked the story line. I certainly do not like the way they are keeping quiet abt what happened to Dev. If they had showed Dev/abhay in a relationship with Kanika and having a son of his own, i would have called it quits ... i think that was my line to draw

So, for me, I am watching bcos I still think the show and the story line have tremendous potential, I like the 2 main characters, the actors ( 😊 no jhootas please on that one ) and am rooting for them ... but do get very frustrated with the story lines and execution but not enough to want to quit. With the other shows, I am being frank when I say they have not captured my heart or my imagination ... so I have to pass. I am sure there are a few more out there with much better story lines than CB but which do not even make the TRP grade.

I think each of us watch these shows for different reasons ... PR is a tremendously popular show, so I am sure a lot of people disagree with me ... but it is just not my cup of tea. If I had started watching CB this year after ONS or during any one of the story lines that you mentioned I would definitely not have stayed ... I left last year after the first marriage when Vish went to PB and came back a few months later

As far as Ekta vs Pooja is concerned, I think Ekta is definitely more successful, much more involved in her projects... both IMO are equally arrogant ... I dont like either of them though I admire what they have done with their respective businesses, Ekta much more so than the DJs

Rajsri, I agree in the sense that we all watch diff. shows for different reasons and have stuck like crazy glue to CB for a reason as well - (highlighted) there is potential and it is wasted, neglected, making current story crap! Like I have said a million times and now once more - I don't watch this show for the pretty faces and this forum is overwhelmingly watching for the pretty faces and the Creatives are basing their story on that! That is when the story starts to suffer. Like it or not we are their TRPometer!
In "Fields of Dream", there is a famous quote "....if we build it, he will come". The CVs have it in their heads from reading this forum that if we build the story around keeping Radhika and Dev separate, the audience will return to see if they are back together again. It is perverse psychology that is etched in their heads. Deeya Singh, in her interview, showed no interest in preserving CB. She is chasing other shows and movies. Both of them show crap stories in their serials. EK personally oversees her shows and it shows. Deeya doesn't and it shows too.
