Agreeing to your point, Samrat is only thinking about himself, which most of the times even Gunjan has done. (No offence, if you disagree, please present your views in a dignified manner.) IMO, Gunjan neglected her sister a lot in the past due to Samrat, and her heartbreaks, and her love.
But like your title suggests, It IS human nature to be selfish when it comes to what you love the most. No man in this world is selfless, and never can be, no matter how saintly one tries to behave. It's sad, that today most people take their friends for granted. We all need to redefine the meaning of "friendship" in today's world.

dont u think mayank is being selfish or watever as well. since he lost his love he shud have better understanding of samrats feelings. but instead he does not let samrat meet gunjan. even if he knows tht gunjan does nt wants to meet him, mayank shud have made his own plans n ways to unite sajan. but he did nt do tht. and now samrat is happy finding gunjan on his own.

abt wht u said, i m sure once the ice breaks, once sayank r together like before samrat wont leave a stone to do whatever u said. he will cross roads n much more.... becos tht wht "samrat" is all about, a person who never forgets even his old friends! but now, their relationship is not good as B4. mayank has not let samrat come near to him....... it was mayank who said tht wht happened has happened n it cant be changed... old thing cant come bk.... so theres a line which samrat with respect did nt cross... yet he made mayu realize tht wht was nupur for him....same as he was!!

i have already provided answer to this. refer the bolded thing above!

As I said, Gunjan does not want to meet him and that is why, Mayank cannot help him. She had been there with him in the worst days of his life. Gunjan had been Mayank's support system for three years and therefore, I guess... if he does something in return, that's absolutely fine.

Although Mayank knows deep inside, she has feelings for Samrat he prefers keeping quiet on the very subject. 😳

Mayank has lost his love, never to get back however, if destiny has it... SaJan WILL unite. And that is why it is pointless to talk about what Mayank can or cannot do in this particular case.

the point is not if mayank will get wht he lost or not. mayank will not get wht he lost, does tht mean he shud let others suffer the same thing he is going thru. infact he shud make it vice versa. he shud lnot let the same thing happen to others what actually happened with him. take srk's example from mohabbatein in this case. just bcos raj lost megha, he didnt let other lovers suffer for tht. infact he tried to spread more of love bcos he didnt want others to go thru wht he went thru... ur saying SaJan WILL unite is only an assumption bcos it is a fictitious soap. but if it wud have been a real thing we wud never know if they wud unite.

First, I think love has many shapes and levels.........maybe here you are talking about on kind of them.....which includes selfishness..........

But I think you need to watch and read more stories from war and natural disasters...........this is the best way can make you believe that there is selfless love in real life........

Regarding couple love and freindship...........I disagree that the first is selfish and the later is sefless......... I think it's about periority.........life many times put you in difficult situations where you have to choose one only between your loved ones....... here you have no choice but to depend on periority...........

Almost in all cultures the periority of love is as follows:

1- God

2- Parents, kids

3- Spouse, sisters and brothers

4- Friends

5-...........etc

and what we see now in MJHT is not exception......... we see as per Sam that Gunji has more periority over Mayu.............and as per Mayu, Nupur has more periority over Sam......... and this is right and makes sense, coz what Gunji gave to Sam is much more than what Mayu did...........and what Nupur gave to Mayu is much more than what Sam did........

That's completely your opinion, considering you're a Sajan fan, it's obvious you wouldn't look at it from a different perspective. And this is completely MY opinion, and I believe in what I have written, and I'm talking through real Life experiences, and definitely NOT through Fictitious characters.
