Intense competition often sees producers inculcating high drama or a twist in their story. Colors is going for a leap, and has killed a character in two of its popular shows in order to regain the top spot, beating Star Plus.

Competition is intense in the middle rung channels too with SAB TV gaining the upper hand over Imagine TV in the last three TAM weeks. Not one to be left behind, Imagine TV is shaking up its shows as well. While there'll be murder in 'Bandini', 'Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein' is readying itself to welcome a new protagonist. No, Amrapali Dubey, a.k.a Suman, is not being replaced. A new character will be introduced opposite Karan (Shoaib Ibrahim). That's likely to alter the screen space for lead actress Amrapali

A reliable source says, "The show will see the entry of a new girl. Most probably, she'll be called Paro, who'll be paired with Karan. Suman will no longer be the sole lead of the show. Auditions are on and hopefully Paro will be finalized in a few days."

An actor requesting anonymity says, "There is talk of a new character being introduced opposite Karan. However, I don't think Suman will be sidelined. After all, she's the lead of the show. "

Amrapali Dubey remained unavailable for comment.

well as i said earlier ALL the shows are having major dhamaka in july..its not a novel happening in bandini as some mistakenly believe..all the shows have had low trps since 1 month..due to football matches whch also air exactly at primetime..the shows of a top channel like colors have hardly 2 trp whch used to be 4 or 5 one month back so there is a drastic drop in all not just in bandini. and as this article states both colors & star have gone or are going to the extent of showing murder of lead protagonists.. It does not however herald doomsday as no show has consistently high trp its always a roller coaster ride..no matter how good or bad the tracks.

I don't think we can blame the football matches because Bandini is in between matches either an hour after and before. I watch the live football matches and I don't see it colliding with Bandini's time slot.
Besides if the story line is good, no match can affect people watching the show. People are not watching because the plot is crap.

I smell a leap coming with the murder and low TRPs. I think CVs are gonna do the inevitable horror with DM's infidelity eventhough Vishal is Sanraj's child. I hope I am wrong though.

As for other shows and their revamp is irrelevant with this show.

in india the football matches air at 10.30 pm..and bandini also airs at that time..So it definitely does clash..and moti going to jail is to give rasikaji a break due to ill health & if that led to a leap it would defeat its very purpose...as she needs at least 6 mths off and then after that if she's in a better state of health they may show her return..any show can leap anytime..but if everyshow leapt anytime the trps dropped, all the other imagine serials would have leapt 100 yrs by now 🤣

either way i don't think it's fair to blame football for the really bad plot. it has nothing to do with other.
as for the matches I was referring to the match of the day, so far the big matches DON"T collide with Bandini much. People dun watch all the matches, they watch the match of the day.
as for the leap I was referring to BT style and not Imagine . Like I said the other shows are irrelevant to this show.😊

Fuzzo,Have you seen little children drawing something on the slate,or playing "thinking" that they are drawing perfect pictures,and then something happens,and in a fit of rage they just rub it all off and start all over.Thats how these so called creatives take the leaps.But you are right,I had mentioned in the update thread also that there might be a leap again.Especially with the great,straightforward DM who believes in "transparency" in every deed that he does,keeping the secret from santu.I strongly think there will be a leap too.But then again,who cares.Majority seems to enjoy the tantrums that CVs make.

I mean look how they dealt with Birwa's raaz, just DM knows n they just ended it that way. Then Kaddu n Shashank reunion, it is left hanging. BT seems to concentrate like Hema said on PR and their new shows. The ones handling this show must like you said kindergarten children.
TRPs are low rads, ppl are not enjoying the show they rather watch football highlights and replays.
Besides other channel shows the TRPs are still quite high esp PR, JKR, so what does that say?

well i would not give the time of the day to repeatedly watching anything i dislike..but i really appreciate the vigour & enthusiasm of those who are spirited enough to do so.. 👏 👍🏼

I watched the latest to see Shardul and MB in action and the rest is just you-know.But its high time this ended.They did the same with KS.This step baby treatment is BT style.Nothing to do about it,no need complaining either because they cant help the way they are.How can they be blamed? Especially when they get the feedback that creates an illusion that the show is the best.So,not worth talking about it.
