Smitha I have a feeling Ranvir and Anmol were working together too and then suddenly somehting happened with Ranvir...teh business went kaput and Anmol saved it and for some reason married Ragini..
Hmm..they could have been working far away and Ranvir sent Anmol to take care of Ragini..but I think Anmol's name must have been Anmol from the beginning only..or atleast I hope so...because it's weird for Ranvir to tell him to call himself Anmol..

Indian soceity always was structured that way ... new influences have changed things alot ... but usually in the Metros ... not in the interior (major) part of India.

And its all subjective also ... if you study the rural Indian ... while remarriage for women is considered shameful ... there are places where its common.

Its a complex study ... which needs more research ... and its so subjective that it becomes very tough to generalise ...

However, common beliefs do suggest what you are saying 😊

Actually, the situation in urban India is totally different than rural India. Modernization has touched the urban areas but still most of the rural parts remain the same, thus widening the divide. This divide could be in terms of technology, life-style and many more things. Hence, we say "Whatever is true in India is also not true in India" 😆
Hence, these aspects become subjective as you said. We can generalize it based on our personal experiences which may not be 100% correct always.

Regarding YRF shows (sorry mods..... but have to mention for comparison...please forgive us...), they do depict independent women. Rishta.com is one of my fav. serial. The end of season 1 is simply superb. I dont watch other YRF shows (Mahi way, seven, powder) regularly. Rishta was superb. However, though these serials depict independent women and open mindedness, I feel some times, they are too open about a man-woman relationship 😆 That means, when many of the typical shows are showing one extreme, these shows portray another extreme. We actually need a balance between these two extremes.

Really sorry mods for continuing this, but I just have to say Rishta.Com is a class above any other show currently on air on Indian TV. But at the end of the day, Indian audience is too used to saas-bahu stuff, sari-clad pati-vrata sacrificing queens that it's hard to accept other things. RC is aimed at urban audiences, it's a modern show, depicting life as it is nowadays in urban cities atleast. The core however is the oldest and purest tradition of marriage..The cases that come are cases that everybody can relate to--they are stories of every household. And yes they are open about a man-woman relationship, but isn't that how things are becoming nowadays too atleast in metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai?
I guess seeing such things on TV in the US on a daily basis leaves me unaffected with the openness of relationships in YRF shows. Also, the screenplay, dialogues, and acting of Rishta is just so amazing that I just don't even think about anything else, but I completely understand your point..

Yes, RC is simply superb. Acting, script, plot and each of the different cases and the way they are handled.....everything is perfect. It is not just a comedy serial, instead it is a total entertainment package with comedy, story, values, love, frienship and many more. Though personally, I didnt have problems watching the openness in man-woman relation, I feel it is bit difficult to watch with children (young ones those who are in pre-teens or early teens like mine 😆).
By the way, after writing the last post on RC, I saw your signature 😆 Totally agree with it...

@bold I totally understand!
RC is an intelligent show, which is witty and yet in the subtlest way teaches you about life and values! Brialliant writing! We need more people like Rishab Seth in the TV industry or films for that matter!
