Will, Ash act together
Deal sealed when the Hollywood actor was in town recently

If there was one thing that Hollywood actor Will Smith wished for in his Indian visit, it was a meeting with Aishwarya Rai. A wish that was to be granted soon. Ash and Will had a private meeting on February 26 during which the two got along like a house on fire. So great was this rapport that by the end of the hour-long meeting Smith's business manager James Lassiter offered Aishwarya the lead role opposite Smith in a major film to be produced later year.
The details are in the process of being worked out, while Aishwarya's schedule is being looked into. Last year she was supposed to co-star with Smith in the comedy Hitch, a fact that the director of the film Andy Tennant confirmed. But even if things did not work out the last time, Smith is determined to have it his way this time. And his meeting with Aishwarya only reiterated his perseverance to seal the deal.
"To say they hit it off instantly would be an understatement. It was clear from the start that Ash and Will were going to be buddies. After a point it ceased to be a meeting between two internationally known actors and the two were like buddies cracking up at their jokes. When Will's business manager offered Ash a role she was all for it, more so when she heard the story line," says an undisclosed eyewitness to the Will-Ash meeting.
Taking their friendship a step forward was Ash's gesture of presenting a beautiful sari to Smith's wife Jada Pankett who couldn't accompany him because she was playing with her music band in the US. "It was a lovely gesture that touched Will," said the eyewitness.
This will be Aishwarya's next international project after Jagmohan Mundra's Provoked (ready for release) and Doug Lefler's The Lost Legion.
