Breaking Dawn Sex Scene - Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Will Be "Keeping True To The Book"
We're four days away from the world wide release of the latest Twilight Saga installment Eclipse, but that doesn't mean that the world isn't already buzzing over film's inevitable sequel. Already we've had the many months long debate over whether or not the fourth book in the Twilight series Breaking Dawn, would actually be the fourth AND fifth movies in film adaptation. However, now with that rumor finally being confirmed, a much more, let's say "interesting" debate had begun;
Would Edward and Bella have sex in the movie?
Now, I can admit to never having read the book but, knowing people who have, I can tell you the scene in question is LEGENDARY amongst Twi-hards and easily one of the most discussed passages in the series of books (In fact, I can't even begin to count how many times I've been asked, If I've ever thought to rip a pillow, but I digress). That being said it's obvious to see why it was hard to imagine the, so far, PG-13 series of movies being able to do the scene justice or if it would be included at all! But just as the debate began to grow larger, Breaking Dawn screenwriter Marissa Rosenberg was there to clear up the rumors. "You will see sex ' Yes!" said Rosenberg in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine. So it seems that the Twi-hards will indeed get to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart act out one of their most talked about scenes of the Twilight series,...
HOWEVER, the debate doesn't end here, as Rosenberg went on to say that though there will be "more skin" she isn't quite sure if "needs to be R-rated" which implies that attempts will be made to keep the scene within the boundaries of a PG-13 movie. So now, this leaves many fans wondering if the scene can truly be done justice without the 'R' rating or if it will lead to a disappointingly anti-climatic view of curtains blowing in the wind as the real action takes place just slightly off screen. What do you think? Can it be done with the PG-13 rating? or will it fail to live up to the standards sets by the book? I guess we're all just going to have to wait and see together.
