I've been seeing the same topics n amounts of time now, yet I never seem to get an answer I'm satisfied with. Everyone's saying how unnatural it is for Armaan to be playing pranks with Shilpa at the moment, and how childish Shilpa is..
Well, Shilpa is exactly like Armaan was when the show started! She's a new character now, and if you try to see her like a new character only, you'll see how funloving she actually is. She's nothing like Riddhima, which means she's doing her job perfectly fine :D I would agree with you guys if it had been JP/Jiggy playing those pranks on Armaan, cause they know about Armaan's past. Shilpa doesn't. Just cause DMG's been pretty serious lately, doesn't mean her new character have to be so to fit in ;)
And about Armaan.. He hasn't forgotten Riddhima, he wouldn't do it that fast. Whenever he's reminded of Riddhima, he does get sad. Shilpa is the only person in the hospital who doesn't make him directly think of Riddz. Everyone else was there when the whole ARS angle was going on, but Shilpa wasn't. So when he's with her, he doesn't instantly think of Riddhima. And that's probably exactly why there's something that pulls him towards Shilpa! She doesn't remind him of his past. She brings out the competitive old Armaan, reminds him of what he used to be and doesn't try to be nice to him by sympathizing with him. Armaan would have hated that, and knowing JP/Jiggy were first Sid's friends, he would always have that feeling if they followed him 24/7!
Besides, Armaan never played pranks on Shilpa yet. He just fell for her tricks ;)
Now, go on and tell me why you disagree! đ
PS: the title's from Evanescence's song 'Bring me to life', for the simple reason that I was listening to it while writing this, and it wasn't a complete mis match :P
