Raavan – considered by most as the 10-headed demon king from Lanka who abducted Sita. To his followers, he was a generous King who looked after the poorest. Love, hate him but one can't ignore the great Raavan.

However, it's his lust for women that berate all his good karma. There's a Raavan in all of us, and if listened to, it can leads us to the path of destruction.

TellyCafe decided to depict the 10 faces of Raavan in this age. You'll find plenty of Raavans in tinsel town. Some resemble the demon king for their reel actions; some are clubbed as one for their real life actions. We've also picked upon some public figures who have acquired a Raavan-like status. All the ten heads come together to form The New Age Raavan in our latest gag.

Nakul Singh Dagar (Manish Nawani)

Both Manish and his show '12/24 Karol Bagh' did not actually figure in one's memory until that one episode which attracted many eyeballs. Mili (Hunar Halli) overrheard Nakul Dagar Singh (Manish) plotting to kill Omi and Neetu then confronted him with it. Nakul makes not one but two attempts to rape Mili. The scene was shot very well and looked authentic. Before the telecast, the channel and the production promoted their show by taking up an anti-molestation drive.

Thakur Digvijay Bhadoria (Sharad Kelkar)

Indian history is filled with tales of torture and sexual exploitation by the all powerful Thakurs (landlords) in every village. Unfortunately, it's the adorable Sharad Kelkar who is playing such a pervert in Colors show 'Bairi Piya'. Thakur Digvijay Singh simply looks at the poor girls as sex slaves. While Kelkar is doing a remarkable job, people who loved him as the doting husband Nahar in 'Saat Phere', have been surprised to see evil side of him in 'Bairi Piya'. Looking at the show and especially the plight of his wife, we can safely say that Thakur Digvijay Bhadaoria is nothing less than a Raavan.

Devan and Rohan Garg (Rajev Paul/Aashish Kaul)

Now this was the biggest shocker in 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii'. Brothers Deven (Rajev) and Rohan (Ashish Kaul) were initially shown as holy as Ram and Lakshman. The love and the generosity shown by them to the Agarwal family made them very popular with the viewers. However, the shocking disclosure of them raping a blind girl (Khushi) turned them into Raavan sovernight. Though, the TRPs soared, the viewers have not forgiven them for raping a physically challenged girl. Perhaps, Raavan himself would not have committed such a sin.

Swami Nithyanand

Godmen and sex tend to go hand in hand in this country. The misdeeds of men like Swami Nithyanand have made people lose faith over saints. Nithyanand is no molester, but the country was in shock when he was caught on camera making merry with a south Indian actress. Worse, the Baba made his followers sign a 'sex contract'. While he's out on bail, his critics haven't stopped baying for his blood. He's no longer a swami, but a Raavan in disguise of a saint. By the way, didn't Raavan pose as one before kidnapping Sita.

Ansh (Akashdeep Sehgal)

Akashdeep Sehgal has always had that big, bad, mean look about him. That's why it's was no surprise to see him rape on 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. Strangely, Nandini (Gauri Tejwani) never loved Ansh yet she married him. During their honeymoon, Ansh tried getting closer to his wife who resists the overtures. Irked by her refusal, Ansh rapes her. Raavan was known to force himself upon any women who refused his overtures. He even raped Rambha, who was betrothed to his brother Kuber's son. Rambha's plea that she was like a daughter to him did not deter Raavana. Ansh showed no remorse too, and was shot by his own mother.

Akashdeep made a comeback to TV with the reality show, 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao'. Sehgal's behavior with female contestants on the show didn't go down too well with his girlfriend, who then dumped him. After the show, all girls might, say Iss Raavan se mujhe bacha!

Aman Verma

He once carried the image of a saint until that fateful evening which changed his life. Like Shakti Kapoor, Verma too was caught in the casting couch operation. He looked to Salman Khan for help but the damage had already been done, Verma, was not only robbed of his pride, his career too went for a toss. Every time he made an appearance, viewers switched to other channels not wanting to catch a glimpse of the sleazy man. While the actor claims he's reformed, there are just no believers. Once a womanizer; always a womanizer!

Shiney Ahuja

This was the mother of all surprises. Bollywood actor Shiney who archived superstar status with films like Gansgster and Hazaron Kwaish Aise, lost it all in moment of madness. Starved of sex with his wife on a holiday, an inebriated Ahuja allegedly raped his maid. He defended himself saying that it was consensual but the DNA test confirmed it as rape. He's out on bail, but will any producer want to put money on this Raavan?

Shakti Kapoor

A Raavan in reel as well as real life, Bollywood baddie Shakti Kapoor has been long been infamous for his philandering ways. A sting operation exposed his faith in casting couch, but Kapoor looked unfazed. He even defended his action saying this is a common practice in the industry. Kapoor didn't even hesitate in naming erstwhile celebs who either exploited or were victims of this practice. He went on to become the butt of all jokes, but surprisingly Shakti laughed at himself with his pet dialogues "Aaao Lolita, Main harrrrrrammmmi kutta (I'm bloody b#$%@&d dog).

Ranjeet

Here's the big daddy of all. In his career that spans over four decades and 234 films, Ranjeet has the dubious distinction of playing a rapist in a majority of these films. This record is indeed enviable and it's unlikely to be broken. Recently, he was seen on television in SAB show 'Jugni Chali Jalandhar' where he didn't rape, but played the patriarch of the house. During the show's press conference, Ranjeet was asked about why we don't see him playing those perverted roles again?

To this he replied, "In the good old days, our heroines wore saris. It used to be great fun pulling them. Unfortunately, saris are a matter of the past. Today, most of our actresses wear skimpy clothes, and some turn up in bikinis, thus I've got nothing to tear. In fact, the time has come for me to gift them with saris."

Mr. Rapist, you've changed with time but that doesn't absolve you of you past sins. Looking at your record, Raavan himself must have wanted to kiss your feet.
