TBH , I did not like Rajneeti ,I felt the actors were acting ,acting ... I preferred the shyam benegal version ...That was authentic ...esp Ananat nag ,Shahsi kapoor ,Kulbhushan,Rekha .... I loved that !!

Tanthya dear 😃 We have similiar tastes . No way is Bengegal's version comparable , Benegal , Ray etc r in a class by themselves .The Originals .Jha is good , but he goofs up as he is in a dilemma ............he doesnt know if he is doing an off beat film or a commercial one .I think he is still trying to find the middle path . Btw Arjun Rampal as the arrogant but emotional youth leader son was good and Ranbir was moddelled on Michael from Godfather . Ajay was modelled on Karna. What Jha did was throw in bits of Godfather and Mahabharatha both . I liked his attempt , if he had used his brains justtt a little more this fusion wud ROCK but he slipped haf way . Katrina reminded me of a young Sonia Gandhi .

but I would not call her a Killer , I would say that she is a pragamatic person , rising above petty consideration ...her sole concern is power...and she has enough deviousness , intelligence to find a way to achieve that goal... If at all she decides to bump off Pratigya or Krishna , It will be only as a last resource and like a political expediency ,,,It will not be bec of some ego , or Arrogance ..

Of all the character's ,she is the only one who views everyone as Pawns,who is not emotionally attached to anyone ,,,and that makes her very dangerous !!

Ka bey? Why are we talking about bumping off Krishna and Prats. I DO NOT want to see a tragedy here. If that is where it is heading I might as well say adios! to this show now. 😕 I had a hard time watching Thornbirds. Why can't we have a love story with a happy ending?😲
