BACHCHANS SNUB ZEE AWARDS AGAIN

Abhishek Bachchan has cancelled his performance at this weekend's ZEE Cine Awards after coming down with a viral flu.

Abhishek who only last week performed at the Filmfare Awards has been riding on the success of his last blockbuster movie Bluffmaster.

Father Amitabh Bachchan has also opted out of the event, which this year is being held in Mauritius. Doctors have apparently forbidden the star from travelling, who is still recuperating after falling ill last year

Coincidently, it's the second consecutive year the Bachchans have snubbed the ZEE Cine Awards. Last year, Amitabh Bachchan cancelled his appearance at the UK held ZEE Cine Awards because of a seating scuffle that happened in 2004 at Dubai's ZEE Cine Awards. Amitabh Bachchan and Amar Singh were unhappy with their seating arrangement, they were accommodated in the back row.

In other ZEE Cine Awards 2006 news, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly all set to perform with Amrita Arora. "I am thrilled to be performing with Shah Rukh for the first time," she chirps.

"It's a tribute to Yash Raj Films and will have Rani, Priyanka, Preity, Dia and me, featuring in two songs each with Shah Rukh, who will be there throughout."
