Hello everyone.
In this thread lets discuss how we became CID fans. When did you watch it for the first time? How old were you then? Was it love at first sight, or was it pure addiction? Who introduced you to CID? Which was the first episode you watched? Lets discuss all this here.

I started watching it back in 2000 I think. I was a huge fan of Disney Hour which was aired on Sony at 6:00 PM then (I still love those cartoons actually 😆 ) and "CID Files" used to come right after it on Saturdays, one hour. The first episode I watched was the Poisoned Chocolates one. Needless to say, my family and I fell in love with both the mysterious plot of the show and the charming actors, and we began to watch the show every Saturday. Later I got busy in my studies, so we recorded the show on VCR back then and watched it later. I've tried my best to catch almost every episode since then, till today. The show is an embodiment of my childhood and fondness for thriller novels/movies, which is why I love it and the actors so much. 😃

I vaguely remember kissa zehar ka episode, I was too small then. My mom dad loved Ek shonya shonya so we watched it and I loved 2 see my fav actor Sanjay Shemkalyanee however he died in that very case 😭 which made me upset. Those days CID was on Wednesdays and I was obsessed WOH a horror series on Zee how stupid was I 🤔 however this love for woh was short lived thanx to mom she compulsorily made me watch CID, Now she must be really cursing herself for making a CID fan 😆 While watching re-runs some how I co-relate the cases I watched in my childhood however I was not much involved as I am these days. Though I used to watch CID regularly my real interest generated with beehroopiya and brought me to IF, Feeling awesome that I am actually the part of IF as it gave me a chance 2 share my thoughts on CID and so many cute friends 2

CID CID Where to start ....humm i was around 8-9 years old back in 1999..when i went to my cousin who lives in City...they had a cable so i watched CID first time there...I did not get too obsessed that time...followed by summer holidays, i went there again and watched for 1 month..Can you believe this when my parents came to take me back home i was like crying just because i will not get to watch CID. i would like to tell you guys that in my village, we did not have any cable before 2006 i reckon...So i used to visit my cousins just because i get to watch CID.. 😆 it happened continuously for 7 years..I did not even had internet..i still remember that back in 2006, when we got cable i was asking the person did settings that " will i get to watch CID na?" 😆 Now that time and this Time, i never missed any episode...moreover, by getting here i blessed with internet So i can watch everything online..it looks crazy but i watched around 50 episodes of CID in the first week of internet 😉 thanks to god that madness is still continuous ...which lead me to write my experience here in a thread of IF...

I faintly remember watching CID in the begining. I used to watch CID and Boogie Woogie without missing as a kid. But somehow I cant really remember any of the cases that I watched back then. And then I lost track of CID for many years. I got pre occupied with so many other things that CID totally skipped my mind. Ever since the re-runs started on Sony, I've been watching CID episodes here and there whenever possible and within 2 months CID grew back on me and I sorta got obsessed with it again. And this time it came back much stronger than before 😃.

From back when I was a kid, I dont really remember any of the episodes I watched, forget the first episode I saw....all I remember is seeing that helicopter flying around huge letters C.I.D.

In the re-runs I think the first episode I saw was "the case of the killer dogs". I didnt like that episode much, but then as I kept watching, I got to see lots of good episodes and then started loving CID.

I was too small very vague memory. it has to be around late 1999-2000 as a regular viewer. clearly I can't remember my first case. First it was like normal routine to watch CID then as days passed it got hold of me and as years passed I am like becoming obsessed or can say Its actually part of my life can't leave it. So parents rarely stop me. Since childhood its with me its just special.

Nice topic...I have a lot to write.

I was not very young like some of you when CID started. Sony channel itself had just started. I was more into Zee Tv...and as someone mentioned, even I used to see "WOH". It was something like this 'Seven'. It had Ashutosh Gowarikar in it. And I used to love Ashutosh since the 'Circus' days , so I used to watch it. My mom used to watch '9-Malabar hills' and it had Aditya Srivastav along with Pavan Malhotra and Renuka Shahane, so that was my first glimpse of him.

One day while channel surfing late in the evening, I came across CID. It was one of those early episodes. Daya was already in by then and I saw Ashutosh with him!!! I saw it for Ashutosh(Viren) and simply loved it. It never was an obsession for a few weeks. I used to watch it for ACP, Viren, Michael 😆 and Asha only and not the 'extra' guy - Daya, who seemed to have a 'glum' expression and only doing background work and nothing useful.
However, CID got more and more interesting...and one day came the clincher. "Case of the Missing Bullet". This guy Daya who was standing in the background all these days got a full-fledged episode to himself. That scene where he was accused of murder and Viren asked him to handover the gun and his badge was the ultimate picture. I can NEVER forget that scene. That helpless expression of Daya, looking absolutely downcast as if he was about to cry. For the first time, I felt like walking into the TV and giving him a big hug. The episode ended mid-way as it was a 1/2 hour show. I coudn't stand the suspense for the whole week - whether Daya's name would be cleared or not. And I saw the second part where he was about to commit suicide....and I was screaming out asking him not to shoot himself. The episode ended with Daya crying in ACP's arms.
DAYA HAD ARRIVED and made a permanent place for himself in my heart as one of my most favourite TV characters.
Since then I have been a die-hard fan of CID.
