Huzeifa's brilliant solution...not so brilliant.

Did anyone else instantly see the 'meeting' Huzeifa called together and hear warning bells go off? It was a set-up destined to doom.

First off, the people included...it is not as if Rishta.com has a board of directors which can vote on an issue, these were just employees who don't need to see or participate in executive decision making. And some of them like Aashish! Only 2 months old and they get to sit in and vote on such an important issue? They might as well have included Sally 😆 Pity she got left out when Vignesh got to come 😆 Now I love Vignesh, but even though he was the star-employee sometime back, I always considered him to be relatively down the ladder, so to see him there...once again, the people voting were in inadequate positions to do so. If they really needed a general opinion and wanted to include the employees in it, they could've held a hidden vote regarding a merger in the office and judged according to the results. The only two people who had a significant opinion to weigh in with were Ruchika and Huzeifa.

Of those two, Ruchika's vote toh I don't understand...she was shown as excited about the deal when she first found out of it and was always inquiring about what's happening, but today she refused it with no explanation. Huzeifa's vote changed last minute, just based on what he saw of Mr. Kohli and his disappointment because of it. One wonders where all the 'faida' in the deal that Huzeifa saw earlier went away to? At the very least, he should have told Rohan that he was changing his decision before calling the meeting, however bad an idea that was in itself.

Secondly, no matter the outcome, one of Rohan or Isha were going to be turned down in front of all the people in the meeting and their disagreement about it must surely be embarrassing to watch, even before the shouting match began. From the beginning, they should have solved this in private by talking out the pros and cons, rather than making such a display in front of the others. Huzeifa was right that Isha's attitude was terrible because she avoided every chance to talk about the deal within themselves, and so, it had to go to a meeting like that, which didn't end up too well.

Lesson of the story: Don't have important decision-making meetings with every aera-ghera 😛 Don't be an Isha about decisions in life :P Talk them out and be open, who knows you might get your way, but at least you won't embarrass or repel your friend/colleague/family member with stubborn opposition. Oh, and don't be like Rohan-Isha, going along with [Huzeifa's] ideas that aren't sensible to begin with 😆

@ red: Thank god! someone agrees with me. I really think it was not sensible of Huzeifa to change his mind just because of what he saw the previous night. He mixed Mr.Kholi's business life with his personal life. Yes, I agree Mr.Kholi was Huzeifa's role model and everything but I thought it was definitely a stupid thing on his part. He was the person that said it was a good thing for their 'business' and their company and all that, all of that vanished just because of one incident?

@purple:Isha is not an open-minded person at all.😆 She was so hell bent on not agreeing to the merging that she didn't even try to think about why Rohan wanted to make the deal, the least she could've done was listen to his side. Maybe he had a good enough reason to make the deal, she was being very judgmental about it..that's what I thought about her decision.😳

I think I'm the only one who thinks Huzeifa made the right decision. But I feel it's because he was disheartened to see that his idol was this type of guy. I'm guessing Mr.Kohli is a married man (he could be divorced or single), but just assuming he's married, I think Huzeifa think that "this man who goes around with women like this will be owning my matrimonial agency. I think not." So I think that's the reason why he changed his mine. Yes, I guess in a way it's not that professional because in the business world, I don't think people make decisions like this. But I think for the purpose of the show, they're just trying to show the type of person Huzeifa is. And you know Huzeifa isn't the "chichora" type. He's very serious about life so when he saw Kohli doing this kind of harkat--- uski nazar mein Kohli girr chuka tha.

But man, do I feel bad for Rohan. I almost started crying during the meeting scene. He was just so hurt and confused and I think the whole Isha-Aashish thing was really bothering him. But I really don't want him working with India Marriages. That would suck!

U r very right..
firstly huzeifaz not-so-good idea was a complete disaster..
It made the heads/bosses of rishta make a fool out of themselves infront of all the faltoo n era ghera people in the office.. Huzeifa knew that Rohan n isha weren't gonna agree so he shouldn't have done such a meeting in the first place..

Even if he did the meeting.. Ok., then why did he change his decision at the last moment.. He was always so keen to accept the offer n Rohan was sure that he'd say a yes , but he didn't :( n so Rohanz anger was very much justified.. Atleast huzeifa should have told Rohan that he changed his decision.. Somehow Rohan felt left out:(

But seeing Rohan , I'd actually like to say that no matter if he isn't that much of a deep guy (according to isha), still he doesn't betray his friends., he could have accepted the separate offer from India marriages but he rejected it in the party., which shows that he never wanted to part ways with isha or rishta..
I'm sure he's just gonna look through the offer but he's not gonna deceive his friends like they did..:(

ps: about isha..I was very disappointed.. Rohan was majorly mad wen she asked him to apologize to ashish.. I mean.wth.. It was ashish who was poking his nose In between so he should have apologized to Rohan..

N great post., I thought the same about huzeifaz disaster idea :(

First of all great post Fatima!
Esp love your lesson of the story that you stated!...Does make alot of sense, esp that Isha bit..😆..I hated how she kept on delaying her decision to the extent that Huzeifa came up with such a silly solution. Definitely not the Huzeifa that we all know.

Yea even i was thinking what in the world was Aashish doing there..? He doesn't even hold an important position at Rishta.com..and then like what you said Jignesh as well..Mine as well bring in Sally..SO true..!! 😆...This was the first time i found it kinda silly on the writers part to have scripted such a scene like that. I mean if they want to show Rohan as being the only one amongst all who agrees to the deal, i'm sure there are tons of other ways to show it..The fact that Huzeifa last minute changed his mind, that being in the script was fine..but just the part where they select any random employees at Rishta.com to be involved in such a huge decision, didn't make sense at all..😕..Major blooper...and kinda made the deal not that important at the end of the day..😆
I didn't like how Huzeifa eventually turned down the offer ONLY at the "conference" meeting he called for. Shoudn't have been that way. He should at least have that bit of sense to have told Rohan beforehand. It turned out as though since everyone else was saying "No"..Huzeifa too said "No"..from Rohan's POV...
Isha was no help either..She has time to go with Aashish for those clients meetings..but when it comes to making such an important decision, she runs away from it. Terribly disappointed with her.
You know when Aashish says "I just came her for two months..and me giving an opinion..?"...i was like "YES! Exactly, you just came here..so the least you can do is get up and leave the room..and say it's not right if you hold a part in the decision making.."......😆 ..but then he gives his answers...like blaahh..who wants to hear what you've got to say dude...🥱 😆...
Ruchika i feel was just having a girl power moment with Isha...by saying "No"..😆
Well i came down to this because i too didn't get why she rejected the deal. Like what you said, she seemed keen in it previously...so just because after saying "No" to the deal, she gave a side assured glance to Isha, i came to a conclusion that she was just supporting Isha.....LOL..am kidding..but won't be surprised if it is true. Then again we'll never know won't we..? Seems like next week, everybody is so caught up with Rohan's silence..
Plus i don't think Rohan is gonna ask Huzeifa to justify his decision..

LOL I didn't see the warning bells go off then.....to me, the warning bells went off when the time came for Huzeifa to vote....till that point, even I, like Rohan was expecting him to say 'yes' to the deal...despite what he had seen of Mr. Kohli the night before. ....but the way Huzeifa paused before giving his decision....that's when I realized he would say 'no'.

Huzeifa came up with this 'solution' I think to make it easier for himself to seem 'one' with the decision of the majority....I don't think he or anyone else has bothered in the last few weeks to notice how much Rohan has been isolated them by them progressively.....this was the final straw for Rohan.

Great post, I think it was bad on Huzeifa's part to call this meeting..err..a board meeting, which was realy odd considering the people there. He has been a big influence for Rohan all this while with this whole merger deal, and then to say 'No' completely isolating Rohan in front of everyone was not professional on his part. Other than that, I felt both Ruchika and Aashish caved in because of Isha. It was good to get everyone's opinion but I still feel that the decision should have been more private. And Isha has been disappointing to an extent, in that she has completely shunned Rohan. With everything else, going on with her and Aashish, Rohan was already on the verge. His outburst was heartbreaking😭 For me the real stand out moment, apart from the dishum-dishum of the board-room was the conference call. Just like they've showed so many times before in this show, Rohan compares what the client was saying to his own relationship with Isha. I may be wrong, but I think, he has given up whatever hope he may have had in his heart somewhere, may be it was time to move on.. I want to applaud Kavi, I could feel for Rohan at that instance.👏 He portrayed that resigned look brilliantly. No one else felt that? Isha, I don't think came to the same conclusion which makes the last two episodes thrilling. I can't wait.. Isha probably has no clue what she is on the verge of losing..

@Zebi: I do see Isha's point of view in why she doesn't want to sell R.com too...however, things would've turned out so much more differently had she tried to reason out her feelings with Rohan rather than saying ignoring the discussion (: Aashish toh, freeloader he is 😆 Not doing anything significant in R.com and there to give his free ki advice.

@Nitya: I'm sure there are others who think similarly too 😛 I really loved the storyline of Huzeifa seeing the true face of his idol, btw. It was very realistic...so often, we like someone, but the more we found out about them, the more bodies seem to come out of the closet 😆 It was definitely a life lesson of sorts for him (: But for that arc to effect his decision on the IM deal was a stretch and went against smarts. Oh well, it ended up providing for great drama :P

@chanda_chamke: I agree that it went with Huzeifa's character to act like that if not professionally smart, so it can be justified...but what was definitely wrong was him not telling Rohan about it :( But Rohan working for India Marriages, I'm sure good things will come out of it. The others will realize his worth, and all will get a chance to reevaluate what they really want and what their goals are (:

@vini01: I don't think Rohan accepting India Marriages' offer would mean that he is deceiving his friends. Like Vini (Blueberry) said in another post, some of us were actually rooting for him to accept the offer because of how the events panned out...He's not leaving R.com because he's angry with these people...rather, I think he's giving India Marriages a chance because he's really wondering, maybe their goals and ambitions in life are different, maybe it's time for other things, other places. I'm sure all will realize differently though ;) Looking forward to next week!

@Vini: The meeting was indeed a totally senseless idea, but I guess the writers went with this to make that impact of public humiliation and betrayal for Rohan :P LOL @ Aashish giving his unneeded opinion 😆 It really was a back-handed statement, like "no offense intended but...(i'm just about to offend you)" types 😆 Baat bhi karli aur opinion bhi de diya, wah bhai 😆

@Anu: Ah if he did that, it's truly awful since he was the one building Rohan up so much. But I understand what you mean, this way he didn't even have to justify himself with everyone on the same side as him, and Rohan stormed out without waiting for him to explain. Huzeifa deserting him like that really was the pinnacle of what he experienced :(

@Aria: Lovely post! (: Definitely agree, while at the end Rohan related the case to himself, Isha to me it just seemed was sad about their efforts failing and angry at Rohan at the same time. You know what, while watching them stand there like that for a moment, the fact that they came out of their offices despite being angry at each other...it was like they were mourning the case they had worked together to help succeed and while Isha was still harbouring anger, he was in an altogether different place, contemplating whether this is it, it's time to move on. Rohan is a Master at realizing that the cases he deals with are a reflection of his own life and circumstance and poor Isha is no competition when it comes to that 😆 Truly, it is one of my favourite aspects about this show, big props to Rishab Seth. And Isha's oh-so-awaited realization, isn't long now :P

@sHoNaa: Oh yes! Thanks (:
