Hmm Bhoomi may not deserve the best in gala award, but I think people are being too harsh on her. I think she did a good rendition. Nothing outstanding to write home about.

My favorites today were Sreeram and Shivam. Sreeram is definitely a well established singer. Beautiful smooth voice, great technique, he just has to up his involvement and interaction. Shivam on the other hand has the personality nailed down, great voice, but still below his potential. As he sings there are certain points where he completely nails it and you wish he could just carry it on.

Swaroop disappointed. Although if his throat was indeed bad, he did a decent job of carrying the song. I like his energy and interaction. He does not seem to have it in him, but handles the stage well. I'd like to see him handle some peppier numbers and prove that he has that Idol personality.

I'm not sure what the big deal about Shashi is. Last week he was screechy, today he was shaky, the verse to verse flow of the original was completely gone. I mean he has a good voice, seems to know what he is doing - but why is the result like this.

Rakesh did well but the song was really not one that challenges a singer. I guess the popularity of the song and that he did well may render in his favor, but at the same time, it was not a memorable performance. Arpita also did ok but she totally failed to capture the mood of the song. Voice, technique etc can only take you so far - some songs require singers to evoke a certain mood/ambiance so even though she sang flawlessly the song just did not click. Poor song choice again.

Bottom two to me were Naushad and Tia. Tia did nothing for me. Ho hum. Almost butchered the song in some parts. I've been watching Idol just a few episodes now and Naushad seems on repeat mode already for me. Also Sufi music has such a captivating quality which he cannot evoke at all. And jeez he has to improve his pronunciation.

A very fair Ananlysis RTH...I would still give benefit of doubt to Naushad in this round( blame it on his dreamy looks and those lovely locks...😉)....but he has to sing something other than Rahat fateh Ali going forward...I an not giving up on Swaroop yet too...he has great control of surs and harkats....he needs to get the right song and nail it....but right now it is Sreeram and Shivam on the top...Shashi And Rakesh need to be more consistent and like u said for rakesh...give more memorable performances....
