Udit ji smacks it in this song!

Yaar jahan tak mere ko yaad hain, I don't think Kavita ji has done enough singing in this song. Let me hear the song though.

Its a flawless performance as usual. Thodi singing kam to hain par its OK. Its a duet after all. The only reason for giving this a 9 is because I think Sunidhi's singing was a shade better than Kavita ji's singing.

Great singing by Kavita! Her harkats were too heavenly for praise and her tone was too seducing to comment upon,LOL. Her changes in pitch were perfectly executed also! But I feel that Udit ji overshadowed her with his bit more powerfu singing, even though he was there for a short while. I'll give her a 9!

There is no question about Kavita Ji's singing in this song. It is one of the most flawless performances by her that I have ever seen. And OMG its a sad song! My forte. 😆 Right Xo? 😉 Want to start off my saying that I love this song and every time I hear it, it makes me emotional! Her beginning was beautiful. Simply amazing.

But I had some problems with this song selection. I agree Xo! 😳 Udit ji did kind of overshadow her in this particular song. So much emphasis and power came from Udit ji's voice. He dominated the song. I also thought she didn't have much singing in the song. But at the same time I don't think its fair for me to give a low rating based on that. Because her singing, as much as she was given, was so close to flawless. If I got off marks it'll only be by one point. You could really really connect with her voice and singing. Fabulous job!

And I must add the way Udit ji started was mind blowing! 👏 And the ending by Kavita ji was also amazing! The emphasis and repetitive lines beautifully done!

A song which can be termed as one of kavitaji's best ever in recent times.

Starting was superb, simply superb in typical Kavitaji' fashion of blending classical tunes and voice modulation, in addition to the sweetness in her voice that has graced the bollywood.

She adds more flavour by perfectly synchronizing her clarity of voice with ismail darbar's superb background tuning. Adds a flavour of classical taal to it. Makes it pleasure to listen to the ears as well.
Now uditji enters. He sings in typical udit narayan fashion, crystal clear voice with superb high pitching and compliments kavitaji superbly. But is that it?

NO. Equally good too is her singing and its a joint effort of both that contributes to the reach of the track to a listener. And its easy to say that uditji may have overshadowed her. But no. It is tailormade for him as his style showed.

Its equally a big contribution of kavitaji's all round combination of her sweet classical voice and clarity that deserves an applause. Why? Just listen to it and you will know.

All said, this track deserves a 9/10. Perfect? No, but dangerously close to it. Simply because this track falls a bit short of scope to showcase the all round abilities of both the singers.

And simply because the other tracks and the effort plus combination put into it deserve a perfect 10.

Such a majestic track.. truly brings the devdas magic!

Beautiful throw in the start with cleanly finished notes, and subtle rise and fall. Expressions are so touching, esp the emotions woven on the line "Hamesha Tum Ko Chaha aur Chaha, Chaha, Chaha.." was out of this world. In a few places, the throw goes too high, gets out of place. Her voice quality is aptly utilized here, no doubt. Not a very difficult song to sing, esp for the caliber of Kavita ji. Overall, a truly fascinating performance.

I would like to give a solid 9 out of 10 to this performance.
