Is Dutta in LOVE with Naku?

Some of your recent responses to my posts made me revisit the question of whether Dutta is in LOVE LOVE with Naku. I had always translated his softness towards her, his closeness to her as LOVE, but perhaps this is not so. Perhaps I am seeing something I want to see.

So, my dear friends, I ask you these things:

What does he feel for her? Love or an attachment or fondness/dosti?
Does he feel for her in a romantic way?

I had always assumed that deep down, he had some love for her, but that he does not realize it. We know without a doubt that Naku LOVES LOVES him in every sense of the word. But perhaps he is not there yet.

What will cause him to "fall in love" once and for all with her? Romantic love?

Phew!!! a repeated question, well if I am asked this question I would answer dutta DOES NOT LOVE NAKKU, not at the moment but in future maybe he falls for her.

Dutta had always seen nakku as a well wisher, adviser and a person whom he opened up to, and nakku clearly knew that dutta dint think of her the other way round even for a second she knew it that she wasnt worthy of him and thus made futile attempts to stay away from him.

Well on the marriage day the major showdown happened between dutta and nakku where she accepted that she loved him that was the first time dutta felt some tingling in his heart and he named it as hatred, so now according to dutta nakku is a papi and she deserves a saza irrespective for the fact she has or hasn't done the crime.

But as they say "you can only hate someone when you love them the most" so me keeping my fingers crossed for the day duttas yet another transformation happens from hatred to love for nakku.

GP...u really expecting us to answer the question: "What will cause him to "fall in love" once and for all with her? Romantic love". Given the pace and unpredictability of this show dont you think this question is premature.
Coming to love whether Dutta loves Naku or not...my question back to you is how wud u define love? If its Naku style all consuming self sacrificing love then Dutta definitely doesnt feel that. In fact doesnt even understand that kind of love or knows it exists. Thats why its tough for him to believe that Naku had his best interests at heart when she hid Supriya's affair from him despite loving him. I suppose with time and experience he will feel that kind of love when Naku's happiness would be paramount to him over everything else. As of now Dutta is a very demanding guy when it comes to love and relationships. Even with Supriya he 'fell in love' only after he was convinced that she loves him.
If you say love is awareness of the person you love...Dutta is very much there. That kind of feeling was always there from his end towards Naku so much so that he didnt feel that kind of awareness of Supriya. The confession and marriage has magnified this feeling and turned it into an obsession.
If you say love is being physically attracted to the person you love...so far Dutta's character has been shown as someone for whom physical attraction comes way down. Even with Supriya who is supposed to be a very beautiful girl he hasnt shown much interest in how she looks...its always been others who have pointed out her beauty. So with Naku too he is far away from being physically attracted...but hey that will happen for sure. 😉 Afterall suhaag raat is always in his mind.

BTW I was talking about laagi with one of by friends and she told me "ab toh uss kaali si ladki ki shadi bhi ho chuki hai ab toh usse apne pati ko apna chera dikha dena chahiyeh"

Talking about physical attraction from dutta's side it will surely come when he feels that he loves her after all we should not forget dutta ji is very demanding and with suhaag raat always on his mind he would make kala bonkers by making little dutta's running around the whole patil niwas and then nakku will be a little dutta producing machine

But yes atleast hate is there in his heart and then love will also come along 😍

Absolutely, I'm expecting it. Yes, the show is unpredictable and I don't think any of us expect our answers or perspectives to be what actually winds up happening. I'm merely looking for opinions, given what we know of the characters.

Some of us think of there being something, hard to define, between the two. Given what we have seen recently and some people's insights on other posts, I began asking myself the question again. Perhaps, I had been too rash in assuming Dutta was.

It really does not matter what I think love is. It's all about how Dutta would define it that counts. Each person has their own definition of love that applies to themselves and that's the only one that counts because that's the only thing that will guide their actions. Yes, we as third parties can look at love in all its aspects, physical, emotional, intellectual, and say well it depends on we define it. But it really does not matter.

It was just a question...and a creative exercise on what Dutta might feel or need to feel.

For sure, it is a repeated question...I actually think it forms the basis of this show and the story moving forward. I merely asked again because over time, opinions may change. For example, mine has changed somewhat...about my assumptions. No need to answer if it an oft-repeated question, but I appreciate your response nonetheless. 😃

Emotional and intellectual love has been there from Dutta's end. And yes its really been for Naku rather than Supriya whom he supposedly loved. The physical bit is yet to happen.
Btw I agree with apra...whether Dutta loves Naku or not has been an oft repeated question. Esp after Naku's confession and its consequences have been shown. The incidents after that havent really given much insight to what Dutta felt for Naku from the time he met her till her confession except what we already know. So maybe we must revisit this discussion later...when Dutta starts evaluating his relationship with Naku and his feelings for her himself. Till then our opinions will not really change much.

Very fair. Let's see what lies ahead....

As for now dutta doesn't love nakku he had a close friendship with nakku but now the friendship has taken a face of anger. in future he will fall for nakku but as for no there is no love just hatred
