June 10, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Zee TV's 12/24 Karol Bagh will mark itself as a television serial which is not only in tune with its storyline but has also contributed something to the society by highlighting various social issues. The track in the show sheds light on how Nakul Daggar played by Manish Nawani molests the character Mili, played by actress Hunar Hali as an act of revenge in order to avenge the slap which was in public.
A source says, "12/24 Karol Bagh, is the only show produced outside Mumbai, both produced and based in Delhi. It has recently raised the issue of molestation. A campaign is also being launched in order to make people more aware by asking if they would fight for justice against the molesters."
We called Sudhir Sharma, the producer of the show and he says, "actually the story was to take a turn where one of the lead characters was about to be molested by another character so we thought of taking this as a means of spreading awareness in the metro cities. Even today no one dares to go and file an F.I.R against such culprits and remains tightlipped about such situations. We do not want that and hope to help people raise their voice against the injustices committed."
"This track will go on for 10 days more and we are also doing a campaign at Delhi for spreading awareness against molestation. The promos have also been shot which will hit the air tomorrow," adds Sudhir.
That's a great contribution towards the society, good job 12/24Karol Bagh!
