Hey guys😉

I am enjoying Saathiya so far and really wondering how the story will go about now. I think this show has a good balance of negative and positive characters and the power each of them has over the other, which makes it really appealing to watch. I really wonder how Jigar and Sonal's marriage will break up and how Gopi will try to get out of her wedding. Both sisters, as we all know will marry the guys Anita and Sonal wanted to marry and then try to cope with the responsibilities married life brings. But here's just what I think so far of the two female leads.

Rashi- I don't think she is necessarily evil but usually adopts negative methods to get what she wants as taught by her mother. Her mum is usually the one to plan something dramatic and we always see Rashi acting a little hesitant towards her mum's schemes. Her treatment with Gopi can be understandable being brought up in such an environment. She's an only child so she's bound to be spoilt to the core and she has always been under her mum's guidance. Urmila has always ignored Gopi and behaved irrationally with her whilst she has treated Rashi, being her daughter with more delicacy. She has learnt how to manipulate situations to her own benefit from her mother so therefore I think the real culprit is her mother for providing such upbringing. Also, I think she genuinely likes Jigar (maybe she doesn't know it) because in the one hour special episode she seemed quite relaxed and at ease when talking with Jigar however later on when Urimala compliments her acting she looks as if she meant what she said. I am loving her and Jigar's Jodi and their moments have been too cute (especially the garba scenes). However I do think that she will become a positive character soon, being one of the leads, she can't stay negative for too long. I am sure that when she is away from under her mum's instruction she will definitely become a positive character. Hopefully we may even get to see some sisterly bonding scenes in the future. I like her character because it's different from the usual good goody types. Overall, I am liking her character, it will be great to see her personality build up and how she will slowly change and plus I love her voice (a bit like Rani Mukherjee).

Gopi- She the typical lead character of saas-bahu serials. She does what elders tell her, she's quiet , calm, shy, gentle, timid, beautiful, simple, thinks about others more then herself and really traditional. She dreams of finding in-laws that would love her like their own daughter and a loving husband. Unlike Rashi she does not have a list of requirements for her perfect man. She respects people that are rude to her and accepts blame and criticsm that are passed on to her. However I wait up for the day when she would stand up for herself and become more like Panna. Love her and Panna scenes-they are too cute. To be frank she reminds me a lot of Sadhna from Bidaai, her parents passed when she was young, receives no love from her aunt and she stills goes to any extent to keep them happy and has an evil saas. I can't wait for her character to build up and for her to stand up for herself. However I think that when she does get married, she and Rashi will become closer as they would be both against Kinjal. Kinjal presents her threat to Gopi's marriage as she is being blackmailed by her boyfriend who also happens to be Ahem's ex- girlfriends' brother. Kinjal and Rashi have always crossed eachother's pathways and they both hate eachother. It will also be interesting and entertaining to see how Gopi's marriage will work in the beginning as she will have to cope with an evil and controlling mother-in-law , a scornful and mocking sister-in-law and above all an un-loving husband. Overall she has a very sweet and innocent character.

Totally agree with your take on two sisters, you have by far mentioned everything I thought abt them, I am too waiting for Gopi to stand up for herself, as today we just saw a glimpse of her scolding Aham thinking he was the Dhobi..she was really good thn..I hope to see more of tht from her and Rashi too she isnt evil just acting on her mom's schemes and yeah she genuinely likes Jigar...waiting to see how the marriage will happen, this show just took an interesting turn upon Gopi knowing abt Anita and Rashi faking to bring Jigar-Sonal close

I completely agree with you
spot on analysis of the two sisters👍🏼
and your right-Rashi is different from the typical good girls types😎
I am sure she will become positive very soon and then it would be even more fun to see her speak against Kinjal and Kokila. Gopi is too sweet, you can tell that in the future she will be the self-sacrficing type😊 and also the most blamed in the household.
I personally like Rashi more- I am enjoying her and Jigar scenes❤️
