Bapigua,

Man you make me laugh sometimes. not this time. Dont insult Assam's intelligence.

Totally agree. Hemu's voice quality is super. When I listen to both of their songs in the Telugu movie Vamsham, I feel that hemachandra sounds more like 19 than Karunya who has a really nice voice too, its original.

But I cant imagine Karunya singing for any of the current Bollywood actors who look gruffy and manly. I mean picture Karunya singing Right Here Right Now for Abhishek, it would sound funny !!

Hemu has that advantage, his voice is more suited to a lot of conventional actors in both Bollywood and Tollywood. Another advantage he has over Karunya is karunya can go crazy with pitches but then again, his voice sounds good only for Romantic tracks (Note I said SOUNDS good, not commenting on his singing). His speciality however is to make even a Sukhwinder number sound nice n sweet vs the power in it. Thats what I felt when I heard Kavah Kavah. I've heard that song in clubs and its a good dance track. He made it sound like a normal song which is great. Hemu on the other hang does the opposite, makes boring songs sound extra ordinary.

Its very hard to say who is better or not. I really wish they all do a concert togehter, II and SRGMP finalists !!

Just a small info, today Marc 1st is Karunya's 20th B'day !! Is that why people r discussin him so much ?!

Actually i was stunned when Sonu called him the top singer he has seen in competitions. After all if he was being sincere, he is putting him above Mohd. Vakil, Parthiv, Rahul vaidya, etc. That is why I started this topic.
I didnt know it was his birthday today. Happy Birthday to him

I don't think he REALLY meant he was THE best. I think he was trying to educate the voters a little. I guess he wants the show to have a little more credibility, and a REAL singer to win (Amey or Karunya).

I think that is what he said though. I agree with you about why he said that. However he is careful with his words unlike other judges/mentors so I give his word some weight.

Agree!! I think he was just trying to emphasise that Karunya is one of the best singers on the show, and urging people not to let him slide into the bottom 3 every time.

It is difficult to beleive that after the kind of talent he has witnessed in his years of hosting Sa R Ga Ma, he would identify Karunya as the best singer after hearing him sing just 8-10 times.

Karunya is no doubt good, even better than Amey. But no comparison with Hrishikesh, sharib, they are greatest.
