I would like to officially protest the characterization in our TV serials:
General theme is around:
a) If you are good - you got to SUFFER over and over and over and over (infinite times) with situations that are because you are unable to stand on your own...
(Message -> Being good will never bring you happiness on day-to-day basis.. and bringing happiness to good people means end of serial!!)
b) You ALWAYS SACRIFICE.... if you are good - you will sacrifice..
(Message -> Keep on giving.. no one will give you EVER!! When they do -serial ends... )
c) MOST OF THE CHARACTERS WILL BE YOUR ENEMIES.... very very few supporters...
(Most of the people are bad ... very few good people are there in general)
d) NEVER EVER STAND-UP for your RIGHTS.. people who are against will realize it some day. Wait patiently following a) b) c) above...
(Message -> keep suffering,but never say a word on what you think is right)
e) Never disclose if someone has done something wrong.. you are too good to do it...
(Message -> If someone is bad, let them be bad.. do not disclose their bad deeds and let them realize - maybe when its too late to reform and so many people will suffer!!)
When will we have a serial like "Rajni" - where the protagonist stood up against what was wrong.. It was very inspiring....
Its not only women, even the male characterizing is based on these........
So much more - the list is soooooo big about how good characters are made mockery of and whatever bad is possible happens to them and evil characters are sooooooo evil - they never see goodness...
Is this how we want to see the world.......... Please come up with some fresh concepts where for a change - good people get good things in life on day-to-day basis and people with bad intentions get defeated on daily basis.. EVERYONE NEEDS ENCOURAGEMENT TO BE GOOD...... seeing constant sufferings irritates and somewhere encourages them not to be so good..
