In case you didn't know, my mantra for a successful epi is one which I watch without any expectations. Try it sometime and notice the difference! 👍🏼 Much less angry-making.
But for the past two days we've been snowed under by possible spoilers. The doc has some connection to DM (we noticed 😡), Sanraj will have a historical baby 😔, and other fun snippets will come to pass. I don't know what will happen to Suraj and Bansuri's tracks. I think Suraj will just smile endlessly (occasionally at men so Baa can freak out) and Bansuri will just be Fake Champu the way Hiten is Fake Mooch.
Anyway, the point is today we're about to either watch the longest goodbye ever filmed in which Santu takes leave of each and every zoo member or else Birwa will confess ALL (except for the important bits about Sarang because she really is Santu's daughter) and then everybody will run to the train station to get Santu.
And since it was a Mahiyavanshi who killed Arjan, this whole track will somehow be forgotten by Monday. 😕 [Not that Birwa deserves punishment - she did us all, including DM, a favor]
So maybe today is NOT going to be fazool? Let us watch!

PART 1 - Santu comes down with her aluminum box and everybody is shocked / upset. Santu gives her necklace to kaddu, bangles to Birwa and her ring to Nandini and asks her to take good care of it. She asks Khemi to take care of Nanaji and Monghi and tells Nandini that at the end of the fairytale, the dasi had to leave the king.
She kisses Baa and says goodbye to Hiten, Bapuji, Toral, and Suraj. She has to forcibly take her luggage from a crying Champu who doesn't want to let go. Hiten gets angry and asks DM to make her stop. DM just looks angry.
Birwa remembers the vow Santu made her take but tells her to stop anyway. Santu tells her not to say anything but Birwa insists that this time she will not keep quiet and she will say what she has to. Everybody looks confused.
DM is angry that Birwa interefered with his order that no one stop Santu and tells her that he has a few words for her in private. Birwa and DM go upstairs while Santu looks worried and the rest look confused.
PART 2 - DM and Birwa have an AMAZING scene in which Birwa starts by telling him she has something important to share. DM interrupts and says he knows she's the murderer. He says he's not such a fool as to let Santu leave and he planned the whole scene trusting in the humanity of his family members. He knew whoever was the real murderer would stop Santu.
Birwa tells him everything and says Santu is more to her than her mother, she is her whole life. She looks at Subhi's portrait and says that portrait might be DM's wife but it means nothing to her. For her, her mother is Santu and what she did for her, not even Subhi would have done.
She asks DM to kick her out if he wants but not let Santu leave. She runs out the room and DM looks after her, alone, tears in his eyes.
Seriously amazing scene. Watch it.
PART 3 - Santu catches Birwa outside Dm's room and asks her if she said anything. She asks her why broke her promise and spilled everything. Birwa says its because she didn't want to lose her mother again and run away.
Santu is worried but she looks up and DM is standing there. He says for 10 year 5 months and 13 days he's been wondering the same question. But he didn't know his question itself was wrong. Now he wants to know why she put up with everyone's hatred and still showered unconditional love on them when no one appreciated it.
Santu says 10 years 5 months and 13 days are nothing. She would have borne it for a lifetime and still loved her children because that's what a mother does. She says she made no sacrifice and Birwa only did it to save him. She begs him not to punish Birwa.
DM listens quietly and then simply walks past her. Santu is shocked / confused.
