Do any of you remember how you felt when the whole change and revamp happened in 2004? When Asha left and Aditi, Daksh and Dr. Ajalika joined CID and there was a whole new title song and stuff? Were you really upset or did enjoyed the change?

We are getting all upset about the changes happening right now, but maybe after few years people will remember these episodes and think about how good they were, just like we look back at those 2004 episodes and think about how good they were.

I never used to watch CID back in 2004 so I cant really tell how I felt about it. All I know today is that those episodes were really well made...and I'm not sure we had such thriving CID forums back then where we could discuss CID passionately. So please do tell...

I was upset with the change, heartbroken when Asha left. After her exit the first entry was Anjalika and the way this character started (no issues with the actress) she gave me no reason to like her. She was rude and negative. She would always want to believe that the CID was on the wrong end, creating more problems for them. Then Daksh entered (again no issues with the actor) and for some reason I never liked him. They suddenly started giving him more importance than Daya-Abhi. Even in the opening credits he just took over. His clips replaced Daya Sir's clips. That added to my dislike. The character was just very badly developed. If a new person comes and starts behaving badly with anyone in the TRIO how do expect us to accepted him instantly. At that time we only needed a Female Officer so I never understood why he came to CID (Sudhakar was still there, he left a few months after Daksh's entry).

Another thing is that ACP, Daya-Abhi, Freddie-Sudhakar and Asha is my all time favorite team. I could never fully accept any replacement for Asha and Sudhakar ever since they left. After a very long time I have been able to accept Tasha and Vivek as part of the team.

One thing to remember is that during 2004 new characters came because old people left, Dr Wagle left so Anjalika came in, Asha left so Aditi came in, after Sudhakar left Dakhsh was needed. However that is not the case this time. These new people have just been stuffed when there was no place for them. They have become space fillers that's all. The most absurd entry is Dr Sonali Barwe, why has she come in a Forensic lab which already has two people. As it is Freddie-Vivek-Tasha never got their due, now adding to that you have two more officer who have only managed to keep Daya Sir and Abhi Sir apart. Last 3 cases I have hardly seen them together. I have sat through some of the most absurd cases without complaining just becuse these two were there together. They just lighten up the scene. I was not prepared for these new people and I wish they leave soon for good.

I don't see the point of adding new people in the team when what they needed was a good script and reconstruction of cases. It's not like Daya is not able to do any stunts now. He is as energetic and versatile as he was in 2004, he still runs and pounces on the criminals like a wild cat and amazingly he still manages to keep me at the edge every time he is out to nail a criminal. Abhi-Daya banters are something I miss too and I am not happy how the duo is separated with the addition of a bunch of newbies. The team was doing just fine as far as tracking criminals are concerned, they didn't even need any sort of replacements.

I agree with Prabha di I was so much in love with the original team with Asha and Sudhakar that it did take me a long time to accept new people and amongst them I actually could accept only Aditi properly, even though I disliked her in her first case because she accused Abhi sir but later when she proved him innocent I could kind of accept her but yes for me she wasn't a replacement for Asha and even after so many years for me whenever I speak about female CID cops its Asha and no one else
Now coming to Anjalika her entry spread a kind of negativity in the show and moreover i really liked our Dr.Salunkhe so didn't accept her early and before i thought of accepting her she was gone from CID the same thing is with Daksh,I never liked him don't know the reasons but that it I just did not like him.
The same thing is now its just that the team has become too crowded almost like a soap-opera cast so no one is getting to do something that can make us like them, for me a six member team was quite big and 11 is just huge so i don't know Zerry whether i'll actually accept them or not

@Ambrosia I agree with you 100%. New people are no value addition to the team, infact have just proved to be a negative for the show because they have taken away some pluses. If they had split the crowd into two team I could still understand that they needed new members for Saturday so that actors are not over strained but they did not do that either. In the last week's drugs case when the boy woke up in the hospital he had 5 CID officers staring at him while 3 Forensic docs were dissecting one dead body. What sense does this make?

I agree with everyone over here.

As far as these new members introduction is concerned Negative I don't want to think and Positive I am not able to think.

the original team was very good...there attitude, commitement,,their relation with othere so natural..but aftr the revamp of 2004 whole situation is change...
no female officer is effective as compaire to Asha..they try to show muskan like her or mosre dashing but she failed to screate magic like asha...Aditi is some how good..but no budy ever achived the standerd of asha.
regarding Fornsick...I like niyati ...again her attitute, confidence was superb...she is another lady after asha she is look like she is working with CID
another are just a models only who have only one work slap the lady culprit...nothing else...
tasha ko bhi improve kar rahein the..tasha bhi achhi laga rahi thi..lekin uska attitue kahi thoda kam pad jata hein...up to the mark nahi..aur bich mein vivek ke sath dikhya..to dar hein ki shayd jo abhi tak improvement hui hen future mein romance ke chakkar mein spoil nahi honi chahiye..even vivek ke bar mein yahi dar satata hein.
