This bubbly woman, participated in Miss Delhi in 1993 and won the title of 'Face of Delhi'. Therafter, her friend, Sushmita Sen (a Delhite herself) forced her to go in for Miss India. Maninee stood sixth there and also won the 'Miss Congeniality' in the Miss India 1994. From there, her journey started as an anchor on the show Mansi in 1997. Then of course Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin established her in the dumb-doll role of 'Pari'. It was a great break for her and even today, the veiwers' first recall is because of the character of Pari that Maninee essayed so convincingly on screen.
