All the accused were present when the charges were read out to the accused.
The case relates to the poaching of two blackbucks at Kankani village on the night of Oct 1, 1998.
Against the main accused Salman Khan, charges were framed under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, which bans poaching of blackbucks and Section 147 of the Indian Penal Code (unlawful assembly).
Against the others, that include film actors Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre and Dushyant Singh and Dinesh Ghawre, the charges were framed under other sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and under the Indian Penal Code.
The actresses Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre had reached here yesterday for attending the court proceedings, while Salman Khan arrived today and appeared in court in the afternoon.
Salman Khan also appeared in another case relating to poaching at Ghora farm of Mathania police station. He appeared before the court of chief judicial Magistrate Bijender Kumar Jain where the defence evidence would be produced on behalf of Pratap Singh and Tulaji Angr.
Salman has already refused to produce any witness in his defence regarding this case.
