Hi ji,
So this week we will be discussing an old comedy fill that I personally enjoy watching (along with Angoor, Golmaal, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron lol):
*ing Dharmendra
Amitabh Bachchan
Sharmila Tagore
Jaya Bhaduri/Bachchan
Asrani
Om Prakash
Keshto Mukherjee
**I chose Chupke Chupke out of the tie between Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron by asking my two year old neice to choose. She chose Chup Chup which meant Chupke Chupke lol. So sorry if it was not the one you wanted to discuss=).**
Here are some scenes/clips from the movie to refresh your memory or if you haven't seen the movie please do watch it and comment on it ji.

The basic story is that Dharmendra and Sharmila love each other and marry; where Dharmendra is a botany prof. Sharmila loves her jijaji (Om Prakash) a lot and praises him like anything which makes Dharmendra feel inferior. Om Prakash has not mean the newly wed couple yet, so Dharmendra goes in disguise as a driver to show Sharmila that he is no less than her jijaji. Now the fun starts. There are many incidents where Om Prakash is made to believe silly things; that Sharmila's marriage is falling apart, she is having an affair with the driver etc. Amitabh Bachchan comes and pretends to be Sharmila's hubby and show jijaji how boring he is. Amitabh falls in love with Jaya who thinks he is cheating on his so called wife.
Questions:
If you have seen the movie, how did you like it?
If you have not seen the movie, from the clips above would you want to see it? Why?
What did you think of the characters?
Compare this comedy to the kind of comedy we are subjected to today
Any favorite song in the movie?
How did you like the chemistry between the characters (Amitabh-Dharmendra and Om Prakash-Dharmendra)?
For next week, please highlight one of the movies.
Vivah
Jab We Met
QSQT
LAK
KKHH
Cheeni Kum
On a side note, I would highly reccommend thatyou guys watch these classics (for myself they are classics so not generalizing). Some of the ones I'd say you should watch are Chupke Chupke, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Angoor, Chashme Badoor, and Golmaal. This is comedy at its best (in my opinion)
So discuss away ji!
Take care,
