Well this is vaguely connected to CID. One of my numerous experiences in life which I love to share online once in a while.
An irritating toothache has been troubling me for a few weeks. It troubles me more when I eat my favourite yummy mangoes which come only 2 months in a year. I usually finish 1 year's quota within the 2 months, but this year my tooth was proving to be a major obstacle.
I kept postponing it, dreading the dentist's clinic and all those wierd instruments which the dentist would insert into my mouth. But it had become unbearable and my family had to force me to visit him.
The patient before me was a 17-18 year old girl who was being treated for a cavity and believe me she was SCREAMING her head off. I thought of running away, but the nurse had already called me inside, and the doctor had already seen me, so there was no escape.
Finally the girl left crying and my most scary, horrible moment had arrived. I sat in the chair, the dentist switched on the light and started inserting those shiny stainless steel things into my mouth. I was reminded of Salunkhe's forensic lab and those tongs which he uses to take out bullets.
Suddenly I knew how to conquer my fear. I shut my eyes, lay down with my mouth open and started watching a CID episode in my mind's eye. The dentist went on poking, doing what-not, but my mind was far, far away - watching our trio singing 'ya dil ki suno duniya walon......'. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I couldn't see ACP slapping Abhijeet, because the dentist finished his job before I reached that part.
Tha sad part is that it is not over yet...the dentist later told me that this was only the initial check up and I have to visit him again within 10 days. Well, next time I'll decide which episode to watch before entering that dreaded place. 😆
