So, I have been so "inspired" 😆 by the discussion on the ice-cream/Prakash post, that I have decided to share with you the beginning of another "type" of love story:
So how did this passionate affair begin? 😆 Sit down, friends, for I will tell you the most beautiful of love stories... 😉
Prakash was the eldest son of a tyrannical father, and it made its mark. Meek, soft-hearted, and kind, Prakash could not think his way out of a basic maze, though a chua (mouse) could. He was what little bullies would call an "easy target".
Kanika was the youngest and only daughter of a self-made made man obsessed with his family's past. She is spoiled, coddled, and I daresay obnoxious. The bully to Prakash's easy target.
So, here is where it began. During K & A's wedding, Kanika as usual was demanding this and that, humiliating Prakash and his family. Prakash, a dutiful brother to Abha, did everything in his power to fulfill her demands.
So here we are a week after the wedding. Kanika is getting her kesar-pista ice-cream cone and having it. She hears a commotion, and notices a little kids, teens to be exact, bothering someone. She smiles her wicked smile. Perhaps she wants to join in. Nothing gives her joy like cutting someone down.
The kids finally tire of the challenge-less confrontation with Prakash, but not before pushing him to the ground. Kanika is laughing now, walking towards him. All of a sudden, her imported shoes and heel fail her, and she slips near a wet area--of mud and dirt. Prakash, who has already pulled himself up, watches this, genuinely concerned: Her ice-cream has also fallen! He has a flashback to her harrassing him for ice-cream. Before she could ask for more, he turns to leave, walks away as quickly as his legs will take him...but his kind nature gets the better of him. He returns, much to Kanika's surprise.
He helps Kanika up...tries to get the dirt off of her with his hands. She flips out, calls him a ganda admi! Besharam. Prakash is all frazzled, so he takes some dirt and throws it back on her, saying I was only trying to help. That's all.
He turns to leave, for good this time. He takes her hand, empties out his pockets, puts some rupees, and says "go get some more kesar-pista ice-cream, baby", like in the movie he saw recently in which "baby" was used facetiously or was it sincerely? He never could tell the difference.
Kanika looks down, and thinks this is not enough. But she thought better of saying anything, and appreciated the gesture a teeny-weeny bit. 😆 😆
