^ I don't know An ... I am thinking out loud here, but I think she would've reacted the same way she reacted when she got the information from a second hand source. Because getting information from a second hand source is more dangerous than getting the information first hand, simply because there is human tendency to add sugar and spice while narrating an incident. So if Badi Maa reacted with sophistication when she heard it from Radha Bua, my guess is that she would've reacted the same had she heard Suhana and KK's conversation. Infact, she would've been sympathetic towards KK's attempts at trying to placate Suhana.

Awesome post, LadyM!

I loved that moment b/w Badi maa and Radha Bua....very nicely written and executed by both actresses.....Badi Maa's 'glass half full' viewpoint as you are calling it is one of the most amazing things about her.....she is a positive person who doesn't pass judgements on ppl and always likes to give them the benefit of doubt.

What she said about Suhana not holding any grudges in her heart for long and that ppl who don't do so can't be bad at heart.....I really liked the way she put that.....it's something I've noticed and liked about Suhana too....she's a brat no doubt and can be quite selfish in her thinking as well.....but at the end of the day, she doesn't really seem to hold grudges in her heart for very long and that is a positive thing in my opinion too.

That being said....technically she is still holding a grudge against her father......that seems to be the only major grudge she's holding so far.....maybe she finds what he did too huge in her eyes to get over? Hmmm......

i agree..radha bua is biased coz for her ishaan is the most important person..even in te earier episode she had said tht badi ma is worried for the entire house bt her concern is ishaan..and this bias makes her see suhana as the enemy who is going to not only separate ishaan frm the house bt also going to make him unhappy..so she can never ever see the niceness of suhana..and badi ma is totally different..i mean she has tht sereneness around her which stops her frm judgeing rashly..she stops, looks at both POVs and then makes a judgement...which is y not only the family bt we also love her...

Guyz...lovely discussion going on there, and lady lovely thread as usual......šŸ‘šŸ¼...! I just loved the way u quoted lady... that u will call it optimist vs realist and not pessimist..... very rightly said....
Here Radha Bua is just viewing things considering Ishaan's perspective and she will not tolerate him being affected by Suhana's misdoings. Till now she has been observing, things are not moving smoothly after her entry in the house and she has a complete negative opinion about Suhana helplessly b'coz she has been the only witness to all tantrums thrown by Suhana till now whether it was discussion with her father or the closet matter.
Agree... even if Badi maa would have witnessed those she would not have acted the way Radha Bua reacts as Badi maa has tremendous optimism in her and she glows with her positivity. She will always search for that white spot on a black paper where as Radha bua will blindly say it is the black colour which comes to the fore first.
Psychologically too, Radha bua's past was more traumatic and unexpected so sudden negative reactions from her is more understood. Badi maa's experience , her totally rocking perspective and her maturedness in handling relationships helps her in her positive thinking....!
Very glad she is understanding Suhana the way she is and this will def. help her to mould her the right way too! also appreciate the way she gently spoke to Rajni and made her understand the matter without even revealing Suhana's disliking towards Ishaan.....
In yest. episode....
1) just loved the interaction of Badi maa and Rajni .....
2)the scene between Badi maa and Radha Bua ... when Badi maa tells her to turn the gas slow when the milk starts boiling over ....that amazing pause literally connected the visual to their thoughts....! šŸ‘

That thought crossed my mind too, information is often delivered tadka maar ke, but it also provides the time to think and according to me, dilutes the impact of a situation. If you are the one who has seen or heard, there is an instant reaction.

Blue: I hope so, and may be she would have also assured Suhana's pa that everything will be all right. But, still me wondering šŸ˜†

bold - WORD Anu šŸ‘ And it was truly nice of Badi Maa to notice the good side of Suhana.

You are right about her holding a grudge against her Dad. I felt bad for the Dad. I guess once she starts to become friends with Ishaan and develop a mild liking for his family, she'll cop out and start talking to her Dad once again.

@ anu rulz - Exactly! Radha is not a bad person at heart. In her own way she is right for feeling queasy about Suhana. But like I said before, her love for Ishaan often clouds her judgment. Remember she wasn't even willing to share the earrings that Ishaan presented her (which she was never going to wear) with Ishika.

@ Laxmi - Thank you! :-) Agree that Suhana needs love & patience to be molded to fit the Kashyap household. Only Badi Maa can see that she's a motherless, misguided child with her heart in the right place. Which is why she is holding out hope for her.

@ An - you have a good point. I know Radha Bua did the right thing by not revealing the truth to everyone the moment she heard it. And she had the right instincts to reveal it only to Badi Maa, who later sliced and diced the situation to everyone's benefit.

Btw speaking of not keeping grudges in the heart.....I found it surprising and actually touching the way they showed that despite how bad Rajni and Disha felt about the way they were shooed out of Suhana's room, they STILL looked up the recipe of her fav. kind of dish and made it for her....especially Rajni having tweaked the dish from the magazine recipe....And this despite the fact that Rajni was quite upset with Suhana's behavior.....I thought it was very sweet!

I know Anu! I thought that was sweet too. So it looks like Suhana has a common ground with everyone in the Kashyap parivar - not holding grudges against anyone for long. Although Rajni and Disha had their doubts, they still didn't hold back from making Suhana her choicest dish.
