Los Angeles: British actor Robert Pattinson has denied romancing his 'Twilight' co-star Kristen Stewart and insists she is a "professional partner" who makes his "every move, every sentence authentic."

The pair have been constantly linked to each other but the 24-year-old star has dismissed reports that he proposed to Stewart by presenting her with antique jewellery on her 20th birthday, entertainmentandshowbiz.com reported.

"This engagement thing is total wrong, I don't even know where it comes from. Kristen is my friend, I really like to work with her," Pattinson said.

"She's more mature than her age, a real professional, I couldn't wish for a better partner, because she makes my every move, every sentence authentic," he added.

The Hollywood heartthrob admits that he does not let himself to go down when hit by these false gossip stories.

"My only weapon for self-defense is to not care about the rumors. I concentrate on my work and on the positive sides of fame," Pattinson said.

I think I may have read this interview awhile ago, and it sounded off then, too. Something is definitely lost in translation... there are words and a harshness that doesn't sound the way Rob was during his interviews and press for Remember Me. It just doesn't sound authentically Rob, which makes me think that certain words and phrases have been altered from what Rob originally said.
It's a combination of an interview during the NM press junket that was possibly patched with some of Rob's responses during the press junket for Remember Me.

@seiba: Please post the source too when you paste an article on IF :)

yep, I wish they would leave them alone. it sucks that they don't get a moment of privacy. they look awsome togather but I'm not pushing them to hook up, I'm happy for them either way.
