It says a lot about the character Simi plays - she actually is someone who suffers from clinical depression and needs to be on medication.
On a serious note, Smitri Kalra is probably using the Strasberg method of acting hence the reason she is probably exhausted. She should think of look at the Stanislavski technique and combine it with the Stella Adler method of acting. This approach avoids creating this problem when you are doing serious emotional acting. I doubt she realizes she is doing this as she is not a trainned actress. I know she is using the approach because Hunar (actress who plays Mili) wrote that she advised her that in order to cry think of your personal life to make you feel sad - that's not a good method or aproach that some teachers advise. Strasberg is reknowned for it but other teachers Adler and Meisner moved away from it.
