So I recently came across this character profile for Geet and they really seem to have it all wrong - - Geet is the sweetheart of the family? Brij adores Geet? Brij's wife is negative?😕
I guess these were probably early character developments - - though it would have been nice to see the family more close-knit and Brij as a protective older brother rather than an idiot.
21 years old, educated, pretty, warm, Geet is the sweetheart of the family. Loved and adored by one and all, she lives a happy, vivacious, cheerful life. Even a bit immature at times, she is often told by her mother to grow up and become more responsible towards life, though she always turns a deaf ear.
Beizaad Khan as Brij, Geet's elder cousin brother
A spoilt-brat. He knows nothing more than throwing his weight around at the behest of his family. He is a favourite of the grandfather, and is a striking image of him. Honour and power hold utmost importance for him, and can go to any length to maintain or achieve the same. He completely adores Geet. He believes in gun culture and has a coterie of followers.
Joy Chug as Jeet, Geet's younger brother
Geet is the sweetheart of the family but her 9 year old younger brother Jeet is whom she loves the most. Though youngest in the family, he is the only one who has the knack of calling a spade a spade and getting away with it. Due to the age difference, Geet doubles up as his mother and completely adores him.
Shalini Kapoor as Ranu, Geet's mother
A soft spoken, uneducated woman. She was married off at an early age. Her world begins and ends with her family and her duties. She is happy with the way her life is, and expects her daughter to adjust to a similar lifestyle as well.
Talat Reiki as Daarji, Geet's grandfather
Traditionalist to the core, he believes in commanding respect and authority. He had single headedly raised the fortunes of the family from scratch, and had never shied away from arm-twisting or illicit tactics to achieve his goals. Bauji considers it his personal agenda to uphold age old values and beliefs, and believes in exercising severe retribution if anyone goes against them. In the family, the final say is his.
Vicky Ahuja as Geet's father
A rich landlord, he has a clout of men following his every move and command. Rich as per the standards of the small town they belong to, he exercises power and influence to have his way. An agrarian landlord, not cash rich, but owns the largest area of cultivable agricultural land around town. He has a soft spot for his daughter Geet, and even thought cannot openly express it in the family.
Vinku Vohra as Ranu, Brij's wife
A negative character… She does not approve of all the love and affection meted out to Geet and in her own space, plays a pivotal role in making things rough for Geet.
