What happened?
After pack up, when the cast and crew came back to their rooms, Kaif says she found that her bags and locker had been ransacked. She rushed to co-star Akshay Kumar, who immediately helped her search the room. Unable to find the valuables, they reported the matter to the hotel management.
CCTVs might help
Says a hotel employee, "This is the first time such a thing has happened in the history of our hotel. Close circuit television cameras monitor all the corridors, and we hope to nab the burglar soon."
I'm coping: Kat
Has the incident affected her schedule? "No, I'm fine and going to my rehearsals right now. As long as the the criminals are caught, I'm at peace," says the actress.
Says a member of the film's production crew, "It has left us quite bewildered, as we are staying in a posh hotel, with tight security. Katrina is fine now and everything is on time. It's ironical that she has to laugh and smile (the film is a comedy) in the middle of great personal tension."
