Yeah it wasn't so bad😊. all of the contestants seem to get along with each other this year. (unlike last year) 😆I kinda felt bad for Saira though. Hopefully, maybe she can try out for SRGMP and go a long way. 👍🏼

As the gala is commencing we need a daily writeup about the show to quench thirst of "unfortunate" people like us who have to wait several hours to watch it on TV....

Hey I just watched it here in the UK!

It's an awesome episode and I think the cohort of singers chosen this year is THE best from all the years (except for season 1 - I didn't watch that season much so can't be 100% sure). The two I'm least sure about - the girl with poor vision and the Rajasthani folk singer. But even they are very, very good so the standard is high this year! Woohoo!

And yes, it's sad that Geetesh got eliminated, he deserves to have taken up Swaroop Khan's place but that's a minor glitch.

This was the 'Aakhri Imtihaan' round in which contestants were asked to sing songs which they were given on the spot - so no prior notice. Then the contestants were tested. For some, the lyrics were changed. For others, the scale was changed. For others, the taal was changed. And the singer had to deal with the changes. It was a true test of singing ability - only the best survived and karaoke-ish singers were eliminated.

In Indian Idol extraaa they showed the first auditions of all the selected candidates and I must say they all look promising. I don't have afavourite anymore because so many of them are so good! And they seem like nice people, too!

Indian Idol 5 is back on track!

Wow, my gut feeling tells me that this Idol will be the best of all Idols. With the additional round and the difficulty level of it really filtered through the best of the best, and what passed through the filter were the extremely talented musicians. Congrats to all of them. I think they deserve a round of applause.👏👏👏👏 But I was annoyed by the departure of Saira and Geetish, this is just not done.

^^ Geetesh I thought was good. But Saira (who I loved from the beginning) was not upto the mark. It was only fair that she got eliminated, in my opinion. Her notes were everywhere and her expression was nowhere!

But defo agree, I have a gut feeling that this might be the best Idol ever, too. The all-musician panel, the crisp format, the possible changes (this round was a change, and future galas may give judges VETO power YAY) all give me confidence in this gut feeling...

Yeah agree. It was a great episode so far. Less drama too.

Hmmm, now that you say it, I saw that she was very nervous and a little bogged down for some reason. But I don't think that it really affected her voice, she was off a couple of notes only.
