Really nice to hear about Monali! This girl is awesome, in indian idol 2 had never noticed her much. But I must say she has achieved what no other indian idol contestant could by far. Though her voice might not be fit for romantic songs, Her song "Zara zara touch me" was a superhit, I loved it! She has a kind of seductive voice texture which is a USP for her!

karunya also got sucess in south .

1. He won the Bharathamuni award for the best male debut playback singer.
2. The Vamsi-Berkeley award for the best male playback singer.
3. The very prestigious Nandi award by the Govt. of A.P. for a song sung for the teleserial "Melukolupu".
4. Honored as the "Young rising star of India" by the Under Secretary General, UN, Mr. Shashi Tharoor in Newyork.
5. Honored as "One of the rare talents of Indian music Industry" by the prestigious organisation IANT of Dallas.
6. The Santosham film magazine, "Best male playback singer of the year 2007" award for his song in Chirutha.
7. He was nominated in the "Best male playback singer" category in the 56th Filmfare awards for his song "Andamaina kalala" from the movie "Baladoor".

I honestly think in all 4 seasons of Indian Idol, she is the only singer who was able to achieve the fame and recognition a singers needs. Even the Idols who won, didn't get their share.

I dont know if Karunya can be called a success in Telugu industry, but he is finding steady work there. He has quite a few songs to his name and some of them are hits. He did sing for most of the leading heroes in Tollywood.
