L'il Masters rocks; Chak.. booms, Nachke.. doomed?

Size doesn't matter. The smaller; the better. This has been amply proved by unheralded little kids from Dance India Dance L'il Masters (Zee TV) and Chak Dhoom Dhoom (Colors) who have put their erstwhile TV stars of Zara Nachke Dikha to shame.

The three dance reality shows made their debut last week, and all of them air at prime time on their respective channels. Zee TV's DID L'il Masters has emerged as the clear winner clocking a TVR of 6.7 for its inaugural episode. This not only makes it the top show (fiction and non-fiction) for the TAM week 18 (April 25 to May 1), but it's the biggest opening for any show in the last three years. Interestingly, the preceding Dance India Dance finale could only muster a rating of 5.

Colors' Chak Dhoom Dhoom drew a TVR of 4.4 while, Star Plus' celebrity reality show Zara Nachke Dikha could only muster a TVR of 2.4. (Though, it must be noted that Zara.. airs on Saturday and Sunday whereas its two competing shows air on Friday and Saturday)

While it will be too early to write off Zara Nacke Dikha, the success of the two juvenile shows clearly indicate that the viewers are longer warming to the celebrity dance reality shows, where talent often takes second place to controversy and other theatrics. We've already seen the first casualty when Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani were found wanting as hosts, and subsequently replaced by Jennifer Winget and RJ Mantra.

Rakhi Sawant proudly claimed that she'll create history at Zara Nachke Dikha. The out-of-favour drama queen should now pray that the show picks up in the coming weeks or else, she'll be confined to history.

Meanwhile, the final of Indian Premier League 3 between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings clocked a staggering TVR of 10.5 (All India market).

The top ten shows across Hindi GECS is as follows –

L'il Masters - 6.7, Pavitra Rishta 6.0, Uttaran 5.9, Na Aana Is Des Laado 4.9, Jhansi Ki Rani 4.8, Pratigya 4.7, Bidaai 4.7, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 4.5, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo 4.4, Chak Dhoom Dhoom 4.4

Colors has regained the number spot with 288 GRPs, Star Plus is just two GRPs less, while Zee TV drops to third spot with 279 GRPs.

I was expecting ZND not to do well as viewers r sick and tired of these small screen TV stars dancing here and there/...Good star plus got a lesson now.😃..

DID is a fantastic show and it was expected to draw such huge numbers because of its weekend time slot and some fantastic young kids👏..but woww above 6 rating is unbelievable😲...I thought it might hv competition from world cup matches but woww it managed superb ratings👏

Whats shocking for me is Colors again getting the no.1 spot in the GEC watch even though Balika vadhu nowhere features in Top 10😕...its only Uttaran and Laado which r there and of course chak dhoom dhoom too...then how come colors is no.1 this week😕..mayb the other shows got decent ratings after IPL even though they r not in top 10..

But looks like Uttaran is stalking Pavitra rishta these days...there is only a gap of 0.1 between the two😲😆..not bad..Uttaran is maintaining its position and I guess Colors is running in the top spot becuase of Uttaran only😆..

Sad to see Star plus going down with their shows Bidaai and Yeh rishtaa too biting the dust..And whats shocking is Pratigya going ahead of these two shows😲😕..well Pratigya's content is quite strong..so it deserve that position👏

Chalo Agle Janam has managed to retain its position in top 10 despite such tough competition at 9.30pm slot...so good going👍🏼

Not just Rakhi Sawant but even this whole idea of TV celebs dancing in these reality shows..how many time we will watch Nach baliye type of shows🥱😆...

OMG I was expecting shocks and surprises for this week, but this is beyond shocking lol😆 Never imagined that Lil Masters would get this much😲. A non-fiction show making it as number one wow!! All this without any celebs, nothing. Zee must be really happy.
Lol I didn't expect CDD do this well either😛😆. But Colors is advertising the show sooo much, I see it's adds on soo many sites lol, even in newspapers. It really wanted to get good trp's somehow .
And ZND well what can u expect from that show🥱.

It's nice to have PR and DID right on top😉

and lol star is falling with it's fictions too. Bidaai was getting 6 in IPL now not even 5😆.woh they r not even number on their channel now. star really needs to do something😛

it just shows people are soo hungry for good reality shows😆 also when u have kids, u have emotions, comedy, family viewing, and zee does a wonderful job in putting all this into one package😆 I don't any other channel does it.

yea their laddo has moved up, also I assume their were high points in BP. I saw a huge add in a newspaper. colors does soo much promotion to get the trp's😆
but what was nice to see is that their is no clear leader at top, all 3 channels r going up and down each week. I hope it stays like this.
also afternoon shows r saving SP now, warna pata nahin SP kahan hots. no wonder they are not ending them😆

yes it's impressive. zee is promoting the show heavily now, because they know viewers will easily shift over from yeh rishta😆 last week yeh rishta was at 5 and now after IPL it fell more😲 it clearly shows that they were taking the audiences for granted, and expecting them to continue watching their show, in which they waste half the time doing noting😆

@Jyoti Boyz v/s Girls Concept has always been hit God Knws why ZND is not doin well 🤔I m toh Enjoying da show and i hope it does well in the coming weeks its too early to judge it

For the third consecutive week, Zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani reigns supreme on the weekday 8 pm slot with a consistently high rating of 4.2 TVR, towering over Colors' Balika Vadhu which stands at a dismal 3.3 TVR and Behnein on Star Plus at a measly 2.5 TVR. 🥳

watever it is, DID has broken the record now😛. I know it will fall in the coming weeks, but it will still rock with around 5 trp's. and hopefully the episodes become longer as the auditions come to an end, meaning more grp's😛😆 lol
and zee even though is at 3rd is good as number 1😛 4 shows in top 10.

i know it's SGJH, but still JKR is rocking, and it's gonna rock more🥳
waise I caught a glimpse of SJGJH, why r their dacu's in that show??😕😆 I don't see any characters in it, which I had seen the last time i watched show lol. r they trying to compete with JKR by showing that dacu girl??😆
