Finally saw the episode today. The thing that struck me most was that both the guys are still holding that torch of expectations and that's what's causing all the misery in their lives.
Unfortunately, in real life, expectations almost always lead to disappointment and I am afraid the same is happening with both men, or shall I say, both AR and SR fans.
ARMAAN
"Dil hai ki maanta nahain' Poor guy has probably been humming the lyrics of this old Aamir Khan movie ever since he came back from the 'dead'
He left Sanjeevani for Lonavala in the hope of getting away, but his memories followed and preceded him to the orphanage. Every corner of this serene place has memories of him and Riddhima. No wonder, instead of focusing on work, he has been reminiscing his old times more. I don't want to go into the illogical medical stuff that they show- it's best to ignore the fact that when a doctor gets in to see a serious patient, the nurse asks him to wait because the patient is serious but sleeping- don't disturb him doc (yesterday's episode), the doctor knew he was going to attend two cases of meningitis, but why was he so ill equipped when he got there? He doesn't even have intravenous antibiotics to treat such a serious condition?? Anyways...no point expecting logic from CVs. They can't do justice to human emotions, how can they do justice to a profession?
As soon as he heard Dr Keerti and Stella's conversation, Armaan's heart did a leap, a flutter of excitement that maybe Ridz would come to Lonavala. His expectations were of course crushed by madam Ridz as she bluntly stated that she was there for her duty.
Yes, she was there for work and expecting anything more from her was Armaan's mistake.
How many times has she told him, stay out of my way....but poor guy, can't control his heart and the expectations it carries within.
The precap has definitely created a stir. I won't comment on it till I see the circumstances under why he had to carry her and roll with her in mud. I am sure people want to accuse them of an extra marital affair, but without knowing the details., I feel that is too presumptuous of us.
RIDDHIMA:
For a change, I liked Riddhima today. She didn't cry or scream. She was calm, acted beautifully (esp the locker scene with Dr Keerti) and kept her word about being focused on herself. To be fair to her, she really did want to talk with Sid, but unfortunately, the emergency took her away from Sanjeevani. But what baffles me is couldn't she just call Sid and tell him about the emergency? He is a doc and would understand. By leaving without communicating, she has just widened the cracks in her marriage (I guess she is still married as the DP are floating somewhere in limbo)
As we all saw, her encounter with Armaan was awkward for both of them. Her brief eye lock with him was averted deftly by her as she tried to regain control of her emotions. Again, excellent acting by Jenni.
SID:
Expectations....again let him down. I actually felt sorry for Sid today. His heart and his conflicting emotions are tearing him apart day after day. His expectations again led to disappointment, this time he was hoping against hope that she would show up on the terrace. Ridz's non communication again created a major misunderstanding between them
As per the precap, I can just imagine how he must be feeling. Yes, he would get jealous for sure, but I hope instead of losing his cool, he tries to clarify the circumstances under why Armaan had to carry Ridz in his arms. From Sid' s POV, the last thing he can do right now is to point fingers at either Armaan or Ridz for being unfaithful without knowing the truth.
If I know Ridz well, the moment she is accused of infidelity, she is going to close the doors of her heart completely, and even if unwillingly, will run back to 'mend' the marriage.
Does Ridz have the courage to defy society and say: Haan main Armaan se pyaar karti hoon, aur jisko jo kehna hai keh le....mujhey koi farak nahin padhta!!! I am sure AR fans are dying to hear this but knowing Riddhima, I have my doubts. This track that all AR fans are cherishing could either make or break AR forever.
If Ridz has the guts to listen to her heart....it will go in AR favor
If Ridz stays the same society-conscious girl that we know with very high standards that she sets for herself......it will go in SR favor.
Let's see what the CVs want.
I just don't want Armaan to leave because of any feelings of guilt....it's not his fault if she fell in the puddle😕 but knowing him, he is capable of doing that.
CVs, why are you creating such a big mess? Please give closure to one relationship and move on with whom so ever you want united....don't play tricks with all of us because this triangle is just not palatable to any set of fans. This way, no one would have unrealistic expectations....neither the fans, nor Armaan, nor Sid.
What do I want?
Ridz refuses to get bogged down by any accusations, whether it;s her husband or society, and leaves both men for now....and then the same prediction as I had made on one of my previous posts.
I leave with this quotation by Eli Khamarov:
The best things in life are unexpected, because there were no expectations
Maybe that's what Armaan and Sid, or rather all of us fans should do....
