"SOAP opera's that eat your head and yet you can skip a shower just to stay away from a SOAP that reminds you of em?"
"Are you frustrated of watching the repeat telecasts of the Laughter Shows that seems to never end?"
"Have you reduced watching TV because, it has nothing good to offer?"
Then here's some relief... After a few saving ties put forth by SAB TV in its

uniquely humorous and funny comedies and light-hearted serials, Sony TV in collaboration with YR Films has brought a new serial (Well actually a few of them, but i am talking only about this one, you;ll soon know why) - Rishta.Com
Remember the once famous Tv series, Love-Story on SAB Tv? Its a similar venture.
Yeah, it indeed is a serial, and as even me, not being much of a TV fanatic (at least not anymore) was able to enjoy it a lot, you might too! I am sure, Reality TV shows have made you dubious about trying to watch newer shows, it always haunts us (now) before watching a new show, unless you are interested in seeing your earlier Janam, Or A Swayamvar of couples made in a different universe!!
About the Serial, Its a story about Isha and Rohan, (no they aren't a couple) two college buddies who along with a chubby friend (who you would recognize from the Sprite's "Clear Hai!" ads) and some sincere efforts open up a Match-Making Company - Rishta.com.
Starring Shruti Seth as Isha Mirchandani (the Bubbly Sharaarat Girl, famed for the more recent Comedy Circus appearances) and Kavi Shastri as Rohan Mehra!
Its just been two episodes, and yet it sounds so promising. Some immensely simple yet adorable characters are its main attractions. Why is it so likable?
1) Its completely free of irritating background scores, whatever remains are soothing (unlike the "Ae He He". "A Haa Haa", "O Ho Ho"'s that transform into Bollywood songs without a trace, and "PooF" 15 minutes of our time is gone... And the Drama continues!)
2) Real characters, that seem so free-willed, with a distinct freedom of speech and actions, that make for a great watch! The casting director needs praises here, for a supreme selection!
3) Not so rational, neither too dramatic dialogues. Funny yet never over-the-top!
4) More of situational comedy, which is such a rare thing to find in serials( or even movies for that matter).
5) A young star cast, that is able to carry the project effortlessly on their backs! Refreshing, for a change i loved watching less character artists doing too much of acting(which turns to overacting when there isn't much scope for any), and more simple dialogues plugged into simple and more identifiable actors and characters.
