Yes celebrities and paparazzi share a love hate relationship. Kate Gosselin for example - she may whine all she wants about her life being invaded - but she sold her life to TV and she is constantly craving attention from the media.

Anyway, I do think many celebrities do genuinely dislike paparazzi and would prefer to be private. Lady Diana for example was a very unwilling celebrity - she really did not want people following and intruding her life.
