d recent article on indiaforums regarding katrina kaif that she has not joined ne social networkig sites jst because she wanted to maintain a certain degree of aloofness with her fans made me think whether actors shud really be indifferent to their fans????i mean ya its true that acting is quite akin to ne other profession....n people have a rite to seaprate their personal n professional life....bt in a country that so obsessed wid film actors,their lifestyle n worse burn holes in their pockets to watch even a dud film,just b'coz it has their fav actor,do u think its justified on an actors part to do so.....what say guys......????

Well, they can certainly interact with their fans via the internet, but through a liasion with social networking sites that does not trace back to their IP address etc.., which might be like treasure for hackers. Also, the actors shoudl not put much personal info on their account except their name(of course) and maybe their birthday(of course, people like Katrina will choose to do otherwise). Like FB has a special procedure for making an account if you're a star.

Why should they? Let them come closer to their fans, it really doesn't make much of a difference. Though fans can be utterly scary at times, and it's better that celebrities either go away from them, or make them understand that they (celebrities) aren't Gods. Since you're talking about Kat, "boredgirl" comes to my mind immediately. 🤣

It is all a matter of personal choice. Some celebrities like to put their lives out there. Some are very private. Some fans like all juicy tidbits, some fans just like to enjoy the work and be done with it.

Can't hold the decision to network or not network against someone.

It's their life, they can choose to behave and interact with who they want and how they want. Granted with celebrity status comes the public aspect of your life, but that also does not mean that it gives your fans a right to pry or expect that you will disclose your personal life to them.

At the end of the day, who in the world cares what Katrina Kaif is doing, seriously. Half the time I don't care about her on screen, why would I bother with what's going on off-screen?

I think life must have been a lot more productive before some1 discovered any social network sites...but its help connecting people with friends.fans.old,new,and weird. Using up people's time online. Poking as many women/men as possible,and checking up on people's exaggerated lives...😃

PS..friends plz no more farmville request....i cant do it more..fed up...if you do it again .... I 'll invade ur farms and take over land/crops/animals in Farmville. 😕😛😉

yeah I once saw E! news and they started talking about some actors dating and even reported what they were eating.. I was like "COME ON.. get a life! 😲" 😆

I bet there are people who want to know when their celebs go on the pot or if they farted or got laid.
